Setup
1. Installing Batteries
- Remote Sensor: Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote sensor. Insert 2 AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment.
- Main Unit: Open the battery compartment on the back of the main unit. Insert 2 AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment.
Once batteries are installed, the remote sensor will transmit data to the main unit. The main unit will display indoor temperature/humidity and outdoor temperature/humidity from the remote sensor.
2. Pairing Remote Sensors (Optional, for multiple sensors)
The main unit can connect to up to three remote sensors. If you have additional sensors, follow these steps:
- Ensure all remote sensors have batteries installed.
- On the main unit, press and hold the CH/SYNC button for 3 seconds to enter synchronization mode.
- Press the TX button on the back of each remote sensor you wish to pair.
- The main unit will display the readings from each paired sensor.
3. Placement Guidelines
- Main Unit: Place the main unit indoors in a dry location, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or vents. It can be placed on a tabletop or mounted on a wall using the integrated hanging hole or magnetic back.
- Remote Sensor: Place the remote sensor outdoors in a shaded, dry location. Avoid direct exposure to rain or sunlight, which can affect accuracy. For best results, place it under an overhang or in a weather-resistant enclosure. The maximum transmission range is 150 meters (500 feet) in an open area. Walls, metal objects, and electronic devices can reduce the range.
