4. Setup
4.1 Charging the Battery
The rotary tool is powered by an 8-volt, 2,000mAH lithium-ion battery. For optimal performance and battery life, fully charge the battery before first use.
- Locate the charging port on the rotary tool.
- Connect the charger plug into the charging port.
- Plug the charger into a standard electrical outlet.
- The battery indicator lights on the tool will illuminate to show charging progress. Refer to the tool's display for charge status.
- Once fully charged, disconnect the charger from the tool and the outlet.
4.2 Installing Accessories
The tool comes with a variety of accessories for different tasks. Ensure the tool is turned off before changing accessories.
- Press and hold the spindle lock button located near the collet. This prevents the spindle from rotating.
- Unscrew the collet nut counter-clockwise until it is loose enough to insert an accessory.
- Insert the shank of the desired accessory fully into the collet.
- While still holding the spindle lock button, tighten the collet nut clockwise until the accessory is securely held. Do not overtighten.
- Release the spindle lock button.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off and Speed Control
The Hyper Tough rotary tool features easy push-button speed control.
- To turn the tool ON, press the power button (⏻). The tool will start at its lowest speed setting.
- To increase speed, press the '+' button. The speed ranges from 5,000 RPM to 30,000 RPM. Indicator lights will show the current speed setting (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 x 1000 RPM).
- To decrease speed, press the '-' button.
- To turn the tool OFF, press the power button (⏻) again.
5.2 Applications
The 40-piece accessory kit allows for diverse applications. Always select the appropriate accessory and speed for the material and task.
- Cleaning & Polishing: Use wire brushes or polishing wheels for cleaning surfaces or bringing a shine to metals and plastics.
- Sanding: Attach sanding bands or discs for smoothing rough edges, shaping, or preparing surfaces for finishing.
