1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your PROFOON PDX-1130 DECT Triple Cordless Phone Set. This set includes three wireless handsets and their respective charging bases, designed for convenient communication within your home or office. 2. Package Contents

3. Product Overview

The PROFOON PDX-1130 system consists of three cordless handsets and their corresponding charging bases.

3.1 Handset and Base Station

Each handset features a clear display, a numeric keypad, and dedicated function buttons for call management. The charging bases keep the handsets powered and ready for use.

3.2 Handset Controls

  • Display: Shows caller ID, menu options, and call status.
  • Navigation Buttons (Up/Down/OK): Used to scroll through menus and confirm selections.
  • Call/Answer Button: Initiates or answers a call.
  • End Call/Power Button: Ends a call or powers the handset on/off.
  • Numeric Keypad: For dialing numbers and entering text.
  • Mute Button: Mutes the microphone during a call.
  • Redial Button: Dials the last number called.
  • Phonebook Button: Accesses the stored contacts.

4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your PROFOON PDX-1130 DECT phone system.

4.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of each handset.
  2. Slide the cover off.
  3. Insert the supplied Li-Ion battery, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover.

4.2 Connecting the Base Stations

  1. Main Base Station: Connect one of the charging bases to your telephone wall socket using the provided telephone line cord. Then, connect its power adapter to an electrical outlet.
  2. Satellite Charging Bases: For the other two charging bases, simply connect their respective power adapters to electrical outlets. These do not require a telephone line connection.
  3. Place each handset onto its charging base. The handset display should indicate charging. Allow the handsets to charge for at least 12-15 hours before initial use to ensure optimal battery performance.

4.3 Handset Registration (if necessary)

Your handsets are typically pre-registered to the main base station. If a handset displays "Unregistered" or similar, you may need to manually register it. Refer to the specific instructions in the full manual for your model, usually involving pressing a button on the base station and then a sequence on the handset. The PROFOON PDX-1130 supports GAP protocol, allowing additional compatible handsets to be registered.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Making and Receiving Calls

  • Making a Call: Press the Call/Answer button, then dial the number using the numeric keypad. Press Call/Answer again to connect.
  • Receiving a Call: When the phone rings, press the Call/Answer button.
  • Ending a Call: Press the End Call/Power button or place the handset back on its charging base.
  • Adjusting Volume: During a call, use the navigation buttons (Up/Down) to adjust the earpiece volume.

5.2 Phonebook

The phonebook can store up to 50 contacts.

  • Adding a Contact: Press the Phonebook button, navigate to "Add New Entry", enter the name and number, then save.
  • Calling from Phonebook: Press the Phonebook button, scroll to the desired contact, and press the Call/Answer button.

5.3 Internal Calls and Call Transfer

You can make internal calls between handsets and transfer external calls.

  • Internal Call: Press the Intercom button (often represented by an icon or a specific key), then dial the number of the desired handset (e.g., 2 or 3).
  • Call Transfer: During an external call, press the Intercom button, dial the target handset number, and once they answer, press the End Call button to transfer.

5.4 Caller ID and Redial

  • Caller ID: The display will show the name and number of incoming callers (if subscribed to Caller ID service).
  • Redial: Press the Redial button to call the last dialed number.

5.5 Mute Function

During a call, press the Mute button to temporarily disable your microphone. Press it again to unmute.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your PROFOON PDX-1130 phone system, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the handsets and bases with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Care: Always use the supplied rechargeable batteries. If the phone will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries.
  • Environment: Keep the phone system away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your phone system, try the following solutions:

  • Confirm you are subscribed to Caller ID service from your telephone provider.
  • Ensure the phone line connection is secure.
