4. Setup and First Use

4.1 Unpacking

  1. Carefully remove all packaging materials from the coffee machine.

5.1 Preparing for Brewing

  1. Fill Water Tank: Remove the water tank (Figure 3.5) and fill it with fresh, cold water up to the desired number of cups (max 6 cups). Reinsert the water tank securely.
  2. Place Carafe: Ensure the glass carafe (Figure 3.4) is correctly placed on the heating plate.
  3. Prepare Filter: Open the swing-out filter holder. Insert the permanent filter or a paper filter (size 1x2) into the removable filter insert (Figure 3.7).

5.2 Brewing Coffee from Whole Beans

  1. Add Beans: Open the lid of the bean container (Figure 3.3) and fill with fresh coffee beans (max 100g). Close the lid.
  2. Select Grinding Degree: Use the control panel (Figure 3.2) to select your desired grinding degree. A finer grind is suitable for stronger coffee, while a coarser grind is for milder coffee.
  3. Select Coffee Quantity: Press the corresponding button on the control panel to select the number of cups (2, 4, or 6).
  4. Select Aroma Level: Choose between the two aroma levels for your preferred coffee strength.
  5. Start Brewing: Press the "ON/OFF" button. The machine will start grinding the beans and then brew the coffee. The illuminated buttons will indicate operation.
  6. Automatic Stop: The machine will automatically stop brewing once the cycle is complete. The heating plate will keep the coffee warm for a period.

5.3 Brewing Coffee from Pre-Ground Coffee

  1. Disable Grinder: Ensure the grinder function is deactivated (refer to control panel instructions, usually indicated by a specific button or setting).
  2. Add Ground Coffee: Add the desired amount of pre-ground coffee into the filter (Figure 3.6). Use approximately one level scoop per cup, adjusting to taste.
  3. Select Coffee Quantity: Press the corresponding button on the control panel to select the number of cups (2, 4, or 6).
  4. Select Aroma Level: Choose between the two aroma levels for your preferred coffee strength.
  5. Start Brewing: Press the "ON/OFF" button. The machine will begin brewing.

  4. Start a brewing cycle without coffee. Allow the solution to run through the machine.
  5. After the cycle, run at least two full cycles with fresh, clean water to rinse out any descaling residue.
