5. Setup and Installation
This LED circline bulb requires direct wiring to the main power supply (85-265VAC). The existing fluorescent ballast must be removed or bypassed. Follow these steps carefully:
- Disconnect Power: Turn off the power to the light fixture at the circuit breaker. Verify that the power is off using a voltage tester.
- Remove Existing Components: Carefully remove the old fluorescent circline lamp and any existing ballast from the fixture. Properly recycle these components according to local regulations.
- Bypass/Remove Ballast: The ballast must be completely disconnected from the circuit. Identify the input wires (typically black and white for 120VAC) going into the ballast and the output wires going from the ballast to the lamp holder.
- Wire the G10Q Lamp Holder: The provided G10Q lamp holder has two pairs of wires. Connect one pair to the Live (L) wire from your main power source and the other pair to the Neutral (N) wire from your main power source. Use appropriate wire nuts or connectors to ensure secure and insulated connections. Refer to the wiring diagrams below.
- Insert LED Lamp: Insert the JESLED T9 LED Circline Light Bulb into the G10Q lamp holder. The 4-pin connector on the bulb can only be inserted in one direction.
- Secure and Test: Secure the bulb and wiring within the fixture. Restore power at the circuit breaker and test the light.
