Setup and Assembly
Assembly of the DaVinci Copeland 4-in-1 Convertible Crib is required. Please ensure you have all components and hardware before beginning. Refer to the separate assembly instructions included in the product packaging for detailed, step-by-step guidance. It is recommended to assemble the crib in the room where it will be used.
Before You Begin:
- Unpack all components and verify against the parts list in your assembly guide.
- Ensure you have the necessary tools (typically a Phillips head screwdriver and an Allen wrench, often provided).
- Clear a spacious area for assembly to prevent damage to parts or flooring.
Key Assembly Steps (General):
- Attach the side rails to the headboard and footboard.
- Install the mattress support. The mattress support is adjustable to several height positions. Select the appropriate height based on your child's age and developmental stage. The highest position is for infants, and the lowest position is for toddlers who can stand.

Operating and Conversion
The DaVinci Copeland Crib is designed for 4-in-1 convertibility, adapting to your child's needs as they grow. Conversion kits are sold separately.
Crib to Toddler Bed Conversion
To convert the crib into a toddler bed, you will need the DaVinci Toddler Bed Conversion Kit (Model M3099). This kit replaces one of the crib's side rails with a shorter safety rail, allowing your child to easily get in and out while providing a barrier to prevent rolling out.

Crib to Daybed Conversion
Converting the crib to a daybed typically involves removing the front side rail entirely. The mattress support remains at its lowest position. This configuration provides an open seating or sleeping area suitable for older children.

Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safety of your DaVinci Copeland Crib.
- Cleaning: Wipe surfaces with a damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or strong chemicals, as these can damage the finish or materials.
- Regular Inspection: Periodically check all screws, bolts, and other fasteners to ensure they are tight and secure. Loose hardware can compromise the crib's stability and safety.
- Storage: If storing the crib, disassemble it carefully and store all parts and hardware in a dry, temperate environment to prevent warping or damage.
- Damage: Do not use the crib if any part is broken, torn, or missing. Contact customer support for replacement parts.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your DaVinci Copeland Crib, consider the following common solutions:
- Wobbly or Unstable Crib: Check all bolts and screws. Ensure they are fully tightened. Sometimes, uneven flooring can also cause wobbling; try moving the crib to a different spot.
- Difficulty with Conversion: Ensure you have the correct conversion kit for the desired configuration. Refer to the specific conversion kit instructions for detailed steps. Do not force parts.
- Missing Parts: If you find parts missing upon unboxing, do not attempt to assemble the crib. Contact DaVinci customer support immediately for assistance.
