1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe operation, installation, and maintenance of your Cambridge 42-inch Wall Mounted Electric Fireplace Heater. Please read all instructions carefully before use and retain this manual for future reference.

2. Important Safety Information

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, read all instructions before using this appliance.

  • This appliance is for indoor use only.
  • Do not operate any fireplace with a damaged cord or plug, or if the heater has malfunctioned or been dropped/damaged in any manner.
  • Always unplug the fireplace when not in use.
  • Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater.
  • Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
  • This fireplace is equipped with an automatic thermal safety switch to prevent overheating. If the heater overheats, it will automatically shut off.

5. Setup and Installation

This electric fireplace is designed for wall-mounted installation. Ensure the chosen location is suitable and can support the weight of the unit (36.5 lbs).

5.1 Choosing a Location

  • Select a flat, vertical wall surface.
  • Ensure there is a grounded electrical outlet within reach of the power cord.
  • Avoid locations near water sources or in direct sunlight.
  • Maintain a minimum distance of 3 feet (0.9 m) from combustible materials.

5.2 Mounting Instructions

  1. Carefully remove the mounting bracket (steel holder) from the back of the fireplace unit.
  2. Hold the mounting bracket against the wall at the desired height. Use a level to ensure it is straight.
  3. Mark the drilling points through the holes on the bracket.
  4. Drill pilot holes at the marked locations. For drywall, use appropriate wall anchors (not included, but recommended for secure installation). For wood studs, drill directly.
  5. Secure the mounting bracket to the wall using the provided screws. Ensure it is firmly attached.
  6. Carefully lift the fireplace unit and align the hooks on the back of the unit with the slots on the wall-mounted bracket.
  7. Gently lower the fireplace onto the bracket until it is securely seated.
  8. Plug the power cord into a grounded 120V AC outlet.

6. Operating Instructions

The fireplace can be operated using the included remote control or the control panel located on the unit.

6.1 Remote Control Functions

Ensure the CR2025 3V battery is correctly installed in the remote control. Point the remote directly at the fireplace unit for optimal response.

6.2 Manual Control Panel

The control panel is located on the front of the fireplace unit, typically on the right side. It provides basic control over power, flame effects, and heat settings, mirroring some remote functions.

  • Power: Press to turn the unit on or off.
  • Flame: Press to cycle through flame brightness and color options.
  • Heater: Press to activate or adjust heat settings.

The LED flames can operate independently of the heating function, allowing for year-round ambiance without additional warmth.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

  • Always unplug the fireplace before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or sprays.
  • Gently clean the glass panel with a soft cloth and glass cleaner.
  • Periodically vacuum the air intake and exhaust vents to prevent dust buildup.

7.2 Storage

If storing the fireplace for an extended period, unplug it and store it in a dry, dust-free location. It is recommended to store it in its original packaging to protect it from damage.

8. Troubleshooting
