  • Carefully remove the saw and all accessories from the packaging.
  • Inspect the tool for any damage that may have occurred during shipping. Do not operate if damaged.
  • Ensure all listed components are present: Circular Saw, Saw Blade (if not pre-installed), Blade Wrench, Parallel Guide (if included), User Manual.

3.2 Blade Installation/Removal

WARNING: Always disconnect the saw from the power supply before changing the blade.

  1. Place the saw on a stable surface with the blade side facing up.
  2. Press and hold the spindle lock button to prevent the blade from rotating.
  3. Using the provided blade wrench, loosen the blade retaining bolt by turning it counter-clockwise.
  4. Remove the outer flange and the old blade.
  5. Clean the inner and outer flanges.
  6. Install the new blade, ensuring the rotation arrow on the blade matches the rotation arrow on the saw's upper guard.
  7. Replace the outer flange and tighten the blade retaining bolt clockwise with the blade wrench while holding the spindle lock button. Do not overtighten.
  8. Release the spindle lock button.

3.3 Adjusting Cutting Depth

The cutting depth should be set so that the blade extends approximately 3-6mm (1/8"-1/4") below the workpiece. This minimizes kickback and provides a cleaner cut.

  1. Loosen the depth adjustment lever.
  2. Raise or lower the base plate until the desired blade depth is achieved.
  3. Tighten the depth adjustment lever securely.

3.4 Adjusting Bevel Angle

The saw can make bevel cuts up to 45 degrees.

  1. Loosen the bevel adjustment knob.
  2. Tilt the base plate to the desired angle, indicated on the bevel scale.
  3. Tighten the bevel adjustment knob securely.

4. Operating

Always ensure your work area is clear and you are wearing appropriate personal protective equipment before operating the saw.

4.1 Starting and Stopping the Saw

  • To Start: Press the lock-off button (if present), then squeeze the trigger switch.
  • To Stop: Release the trigger switch. The blade will coast to a stop.

4.2 Making a Cut

  1. Secure the workpiece firmly with clamps to prevent movement during cutting.
  2. Position the saw's base plate flat on the workpiece, ensuring the blade is clear of the material.
  3. Start the saw and allow the blade to reach full speed before engaging the material.
  4. Slowly and steadily push the saw forward through the workpiece, maintaining firm contact with the base plate. Do not force the saw.
  5. Once the cut is complete, release the trigger switch and allow the blade to stop completely before lifting the saw from the workpiece.

4.3 Kickback Prevention

Kickback is a sudden reaction to a pinched, bound, or misaligned saw blade, causing an uncontrolled saw to lift up and out of the workpiece toward the operator. To avoid kickback:

  • Maintain a firm grip on the saw with both hands.
  • Ensure the workpiece is properly supported and stable.
  • Never cut freehand.
  • Do not overreach.
  • Ensure the blade is sharp and clean.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your circular saw.

5.1 Cleaning

  • WARNING: Disconnect the saw from the power supply before cleaning.
  • Regularly clean the ventilation openings to prevent motor overheating.
  • Remove sawdust and debris from the blade guard and base plate using a brush or compressed air.
  • Keep handles dry, clean, and free from oil and grease.

5.2 Blade Care

  • Inspect the blade regularly for sharpness, cracks, or missing teeth. Replace damaged blades immediately.
  • Clean resin and pitch buildup from the blade using a suitable blade cleaner.

5.3 Storage

Store the saw in a dry, secure location out of reach of children and away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
