Setup
Initial Preparation
- When using the timer switch for the first time, connect it to an AC power source to charge the inbuilt battery.
- Press the RESET button (located near the bottom left of the display) using a pointed object (e.g., a pen tip) to clear all settings and initialize the device.
Wiring Instructions
Refer to the wiring diagram on the back of the unit and the images below for correct connection. Ensure power is disconnected before wiring.

- Connect the live wire (L) to terminal 1 and the neutral wire (N) to terminal 2 for power input.
- For controlling a load, connect the common terminal of the load to terminal 3.
- Connect the live wire of the load to terminal 4 (Normally Open, NO) if you want the load to turn on when the timer activates.
- Connect the live wire of the load to terminal 5 (Normally Closed, NC) if you want the load to turn off when the timer activates (less common for typical ON/OFF scheduling).
Operating Instructions
Setting Current Time and Day

- Press and hold the CLOCK button (bottom left, next to "RESET").
- While holding the CLOCK button, press D+ to set the current day of the week.
- While holding the CLOCK button, press H+ to set the current hour.
- While holding the CLOCK button, press M+ to set the current minute.
- The timer switch is at 24-hour mode by default. To switch to 12-hour mode (with AM/PM indication), press and hold the CLOCK button for 5 seconds until "AM" or "PM" appears. Hold again for 5 seconds to revert to 24-hour mode.
Programming ON/OFF Cycles (16 ON and 16 OFF settings)
- Press the P button once. The display will show "1 ON". This is your first ON setting.
- Press D+ to select the day(s) of the week for this ON setting. You can choose individual days, weekdays, weekends, or all days.
- Press H+ to set the hour for this ON setting.
- Press M+ to set the minute for this ON setting.
- Press the P button again. The display will show "1 OFF". This is your first OFF setting.
- Repeat steps 2-4 to set the day(s), hour, and minute for this OFF setting.
- Continue pressing the P button to cycle through the remaining 15 ON/OFF settings ("2 ON", "2 OFF", ..., "16 ON", "16 OFF"). Repeat steps 2-4 for each desired program.
- After setting all desired programs, press the CLOCK button to return to the current time display.
Manual Override (MANUAL C/R)
The MANUAL C/R button allows you to manually override the current state of the timer output.
- Press MANUAL C/R repeatedly to cycle through modes: ON (always on), AUTO (follows programmed schedule), OFF (always off).
- Ensure the timer is set to AUTO mode for programmed schedules to execute. The display will show "AUTO" when in this mode.
Maintenance
The Walfront Digital Time Switch requires minimal maintenance.
- Keep the device clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure the ventilation slots (if any) are free from dust and debris to prevent overheating.
- The built-in rechargeable battery is designed for long life and typically does not require replacement. If the display becomes dim or settings are lost frequently during power outages, the battery may need professional servicing.
Troubleshooting
