2. Installation Guide
Follow these steps for proper installation of your PC components into the MasterBox Lite 5 RGB case.
2.1. Preparing the Case
- Carefully unpack the case from its packaging.
- Remove the tempered glass side panel by unscrewing the four thumb screws. Place the panel on a soft, flat surface to prevent scratches.
- Remove the opposite steel side panel by unscrewing the two rear thumb screws and sliding it backward.
2.2. Motherboard Installation
- Install the I/O shield into the rear opening of the case.
- Ensure the correct motherboard standoffs are installed for your motherboard form factor (ATX, Micro-ATX, Mini-ITX).
- Carefully place your motherboard onto the standoffs, aligning the screw holes.
- Secure the motherboard with screws.
2.3. Power Supply Unit (PSU) Installation
- The PSU mounts at the bottom of the case. Slide the PSU into its designated compartment from the rear.
- Secure the PSU with screws from the rear of the case.
- Route necessary power cables through the cable management cutouts to the motherboard and other components.
2.4. Storage Drive Installation
- Install 2.5-inch SSDs or 3.5-inch HDDs into the designated drive bays located in the PSU shroud area or behind the motherboard tray.
- Secure drives using the provided screws or tool-less mechanisms.
2.5. Graphics Card (GPU) and Expansion Card Installation
- Remove the necessary expansion slot covers from the rear of the case.
- Insert your graphics card or other expansion cards into the PCIe slots on your motherboard.
- Secure the cards with screws. The case supports GPUs up to 400mm in length.
2.6. Cooling System and Fan Connections
- The case comes with three 120mm RGB fans pre-installed in the front.
- Connect the fan power cables to your motherboard's fan headers or a fan controller.
- Connect the RGB cables to a compatible RGB header on your motherboard (e.g., 4-pin 12V RGB header) or an external RGB controller using the included 1-to-3 splitter cable.
- For additional cooling, the front supports up to a 360mm radiator.

2.7. Front Panel Connections
- Connect the front panel cables (USB 2.0, USB 3.0, HD Audio, Power Switch, Reset Switch, Power LED, HDD LED) to the corresponding headers on your motherboard. Refer to your motherboard manual for header locations.
2.8. Cable Management
- Utilize the cutouts and tie-down points behind the motherboard tray to route and secure cables. This improves airflow and aesthetics.
- Ensure cables are not obstructing fan blades or airflow paths.

3. Operation
Once all components are installed and connected, you can begin operating your PC.
3.1. Powering On
- Ensure all external peripherals (monitor, keyboard, mouse) are connected.
- Connect the power cable to the PSU and a wall outlet.
- Press the power button on the front panel of the case.
3.2. RGB Lighting Control
- The pre-installed RGB fans can be controlled via compatible motherboard software (e.g., ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light, Gigabyte RGB Fusion) if connected to the motherboard's RGB header.
- Alternatively, an external RGB controller (not included with the case) can be used for lighting customization.
3.3. USB Ports
- The front panel provides two USB 2.0 ports and two USB 3.0 ports for connecting peripherals and external storage devices.
4. Maintenance and Care
Regular maintenance helps ensure optimal performance and longevity of your PC case.
4.1. Cleaning the Exterior
- Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the exterior surfaces. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- For the DarkMirror front panel and tempered glass side panel, use a glass cleaner specifically designed for electronics to prevent streaks and damage.
4.2. Dust Management
- Periodically clean any dust filters (e.g., on the PSU intake) to maintain optimal airflow.
- Use compressed air to remove dust from inside the case, especially from fan blades and heatsinks. Ensure the system is powered off before cleaning.
4.3. Airflow Optimization
- The design of the DarkMirror front panel may restrict direct airflow to the front fans. Monitor system temperatures, especially under heavy load.
- Ensure there is adequate space around the case for proper air intake and exhaust.

5. Troubleshooting Common Issues
This section addresses common issues you might encounter.
5.1. High Internal Temperatures
- Check Fan Configuration: Ensure all fans are spinning and oriented correctly (front for intake, rear for exhaust).
- Cable Management: Poor cable management can obstruct airflow. Re-route cables to minimize interference.
- Dust Buildup: Clean dust filters and internal components regularly.
- Front Panel Airflow: The DarkMirror front panel has limited side vents for airflow. If temperatures remain high, consider optimizing fan curves or adding additional exhaust fans if possible.
5.2. Excessive Fan Noise
- Obstructions: Check if any cables are touching fan blades.
- Fan Speed: Adjust fan speeds through your motherboard's BIOS/UEFI settings or dedicated fan control software.
- Loose Screws: Ensure all fans are securely mounted to prevent vibrations.
5.3. RGB Lighting Not Functioning
- Connections: Verify that the RGB cables are securely connected to the correct RGB header on your motherboard or controller.
- Software: Ensure the correct RGB control software is installed and configured on your operating system.
- Power: Confirm that the RGB controller (if external) is receiving power.
5.4. Case Stability Issues
- Level Surface: Ensure the case is placed on a flat, stable surface.
- Case Feet: Verify that all four case feet are present and securely attached.
