3. Setup and Installation
The SmallRig Cold Shoe Mount Adapter can be securely attached to any camera accessory featuring 1/4"-20 or M2.5 threaded holes.
3.1 Identifying Mounting Points
The cold shoe mount features both 1/4"-20 and M2.5 threaded holes on its base for attachment.

- Identify the desired mounting location on your camera cage, handle, or plate. Ensure it has either a 1/4"-20 or M2.5 threaded hole.

- Note: For most camera cages, including those compatible with Sony ZV-E10, a6500, a6300, a6700, the 1/4"-20 screw is typically used. The M2.5 screws are generally for specific SmallRig accessories or when additional stability is required. For SmallRig Full Cage 1661, only the 1/4"-20 screw is needed.

4. Operating Instructions
Once the cold shoe mount adapter is securely installed, you can attach various accessories.
4.1 Attaching Accessories
- Slide your accessory (e.g., microphone, flash, LED light) into the cold shoe slot.
- Ensure the accessory is fully seated. The cold shoe mount features two secure bending bevels on one end to prevent accidental removal.
- The white arrows on the surface indicate the recommended direction for sliding accessories for optimal security.
