Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and effective use of your Taylor Programmable Instant Read Wired Probe Digital Meat Thermometer, Model 1574. This device is designed to monitor food temperature and cooking progress, ensuring precise results for various culinary applications.
Important Safety Information
- Do not expose the probe wire to direct flame or cooking surfaces that exceed its heat resistance.
- Ensure the probe wire is not crimped or damaged by oven doors or grill lids.
- The probe is food-safe stainless steel. Insert it at least 1-2 inches into the thickest part of the food, avoiding bones or fat.
- When removing the probe, pull gently from the probe itself, not the wire, to prevent damage. Use a heat-resistant glove or pot holder.
- Do not immerse the main unit or the probe wire in water, as this may damage electronic components. Hand wash the probe only.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- This device is intended for proper food preparation and does not guard against foodborne illnesses. Always follow safe food handling practices.

This image illustrates essential care instructions for the wired probe. It shows that the probe wire should not be exposed to direct flame or extreme heat, should not be crimped by oven doors, and the probe itself should be hand-washed without submerging the wire connection in water.
