5. Installation
The BV-RH-801 is designed for under-cabinet mounting. Professional installation is recommended for optimal performance and safety, especially for electrical and ductwork connections.
5.1 Pre-Installation Checks
- Ensure the mounting surface is structurally sound to support the weight of the range hood.
- Verify that the electrical supply meets the product specifications (120V/60Hz). The unit comes with a 3-prong plug for initial testing, but may be hardwired by a professional.
- Confirm the ductwork size is compatible with the 6-inch round top vent. Consider using appropriate adapters if your existing ductwork is a different size or shape.
- Inspect the unit for any shipping damage before installation.
5.2 Mounting Height
For efficient ventilation and safety, the range hood should be mounted at a specific height above the cooking surface.
- Minimum height: 24 inches from the stove top.
- Maximum height: 32 inches from the stove top.
- Recommended height: 27 to 30 inches from the stove top.
