3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully unpack your GO-SOUND 10A speaker system. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage that may have occurred during transit. If damage is found, contact your dealer immediately.

3.2 Placement

The GO-SOUND 10A is designed as a portable speaker and can be placed on a shelf, stand, or any stable, flat surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit to prevent overheating.

  1. MIC/LINE IN (VOL 1): This input accepts both XLR and 1/4" Jack connectors. Use it for microphones or line-level audio sources. Adjust its volume with the VOL 1 knob.
  2. LINE IN (VOL 2): This input accepts RCA (L/R) and XLR connectors. Use it for line-level audio sources such as mixers, media players, or instruments. Adjust its volume with the VOL 2 knob.
  3. MIX OUT: An XLR output that provides a mixed signal of all inputs. Use this to connect to another active speaker or an external amplifier.
  4. EQ (HIGH/LOW): These knobs allow you to adjust the treble (HIGH) and bass (LOW) frequencies of the overall sound output.
  5. POWER LED: Illuminates when the unit is powered on.
  6. CLIP LED: Illuminates when the input signal is too strong, indicating potential distortion. Reduce the input volume if this LED lights up frequently.
  7. AC INPUT: Connect the provided power cable here. Ensure the voltage matches your local power supply (230V 50Hz). The fuse rating is T1.0A/250V.
  8. POWER Switch: Turns the unit ON or OFF.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

  1. Ensure all volume knobs (VOL 1, VOL 2) are set to their minimum position before powering on.
  2. Connect the power cable to the AC INPUT and then to a suitable power outlet.
  3. Flip the POWER switch to the 'ON' position. The POWER LED will illuminate.
  4. To power off, set all volume knobs to minimum, then flip the POWER switch to 'OFF'.

4.2 Adjusting Volume and EQ

Gradually increase the VOL 1 and/or VOL 2 knobs to achieve the desired sound level. Use the HIGH and LOW EQ knobs to fine-tune the treble and bass frequencies to suit your preference or the acoustics of the room. If the CLIP LED flashes frequently, reduce the input volume from your source or the corresponding VOL knob to prevent distortion.

4.3 Stereo Pairing

The GO-SOUND 10A supports stereo pairing. To achieve a stereo setup, you will need two GO-SOUND 10A units. Connect the MIX OUT of one speaker to the LINE IN (XLR) of the second speaker. Ensure your audio source is connected to the first speaker. This configuration allows for a wider and more immersive sound experience.

4.4 Recommended Usage

This active speaker system is suitable for a variety of applications:
