The Electraline 58106 Digital Daily Programmer Timer requires minimal maintenance:
- Cleaning: Wipe the timer with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
- Power Outage: The timer is equipped with an internal battery that retains programmed settings and the current time for several hours in case of a power outage. No user intervention is required for this feature.
- Storage: If storing the timer for an extended period, ensure it is kept in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your timer, consider the following:
- Timer Not Turning On/Off:
- Ensure the timer is securely plugged into a live wall socket.
- Verify that the timer is set to AUTO mode for programmed operation. If it's in ON or OFF mode, it will override the program.
- Check your programmed intervals. Ensure the segments for ON times are correctly filled.
- Incorrect Time/Program:
- Re-enter the current time as described in the "Setup" section.
- Review and re-program your ON/OFF intervals carefully.
- If settings are lost frequently, ensure the internal battery is functioning (it should retain settings during short power cuts). If issues persist, a full reset using the 'R' button might be necessary, followed by re-programming.
- Device Not Responding:
- Ensure the connected device is properly plugged into the timer and is functioning correctly when plugged directly into a wall socket.
- Verify that the connected device's power consumption does not exceed the timer's maximum load of 1800W.
- Minimum Interval: Remember that the minimum programming interval for this timer is 30 minutes. It cannot be set for shorter periods (e.g., 10 or 15 minutes).
