4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
Ensure batteries are inserted correctly according to polarity markings.
- Remote Sensor: Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote sensor. Insert 2x AAA micro batteries (not included). Close the cover.
- Main Unit: Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the main unit. Insert 2x AA batteries (not included). Close the cover.
The main unit will power on and begin searching for the DCF signal and the remote sensor. This process may take several minutes.
4.2 Sensor Placement
For accurate outdoor readings, place the remote sensor in a sheltered location, away from direct sunlight and precipitation. The maximum effective range between the main unit and the sensor is approximately 30 meters (unobstructed).

4.3 Initial Synchronization
After battery installation, the main unit will automatically attempt to synchronize with the remote sensor and receive the DCF radio signal for time setting. Ensure both units are within range of each other. If synchronization fails, refer to the troubleshooting section.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Display Overview
The main unit's LCD displays various information simultaneously:
- Top Section: Date, Month, Day, Moon Phase, DCF signal indicator.
- Middle Section: Time (with AM/PM indicator if 12-hour format), Alarm icon.
- Lower-Middle Section: Indoor Temperature and Humidity, Weather Forecast icon.
- Bottom Section: Outdoor Temperature and Humidity (from remote sensor).
5.2 Time and Date Settings
The weather station automatically sets the time via the DCF radio signal. If manual adjustment is needed or the signal is unavailable:
- Press and hold the "SET" button (location typically on the back or side) to enter time setting mode.
- Use the "UP" or "DOWN" buttons to adjust values (e.g., hour, minute, year, month, day).
- Press "SET" again to confirm each setting and move to the next.
- Exit setting mode by pressing "SET" repeatedly until the normal display resumes, or wait for automatic exit.
5.3 Alarm Clock Function
To set the alarm:
- Press the "ALARM" button to display the alarm time.
- Press and hold "ALARM" to enter alarm setting mode.
- Use "UP" or "DOWN" to adjust the hour and minute.
- Press "ALARM" to confirm.
- To activate/deactivate the alarm, press the "ALARM" button once while in normal time display mode. An alarm icon will appear/disappear on the display.
When the alarm sounds, press any button (often "SNOOZE" or a dedicated button) to activate the snooze function, which will delay the alarm for a few minutes. To stop the alarm completely, press a different button (refer to specific button labels on your device).

5.4 Temperature and Humidity Display
The main unit displays both indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity. The outdoor readings are transmitted wirelessly from the remote sensor.
- Temperature Units: Press the "°C/°F" button (or similar) to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
- Min/Max Memory: Press the "MEM" button to view the recorded minimum and maximum temperature and humidity values. Press again to cycle through min, max, and current readings. Hold "MEM" to clear the recorded values.

5.5 Weather Forecast
The weather station provides a forecast based on changes in atmospheric pressure. Icons on the display (e.g., sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy, rainy) indicate the predicted weather for the next 12-24 hours. This is a prediction and may not always be 100% accurate.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Battery Replacement
When the low battery indicator appears on the display, replace the batteries in the respective unit (main unit or remote sensor) promptly. Use new batteries of the specified type (AA for main unit, AAA for sensor). After replacing batteries in the remote sensor, you may need to re-synchronize it with the main unit by pressing the "RESET" button on both units (if available) or by removing and reinserting batteries in the main unit.
6.2 Cleaning
Clean the weather station and sensor with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the display or casing. Avoid exposing the units to excessive dust or moisture.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No outdoor temperature/humidity display. | Remote sensor out of range, low sensor battery, interference, or sensor not synchronized. |
|
| Incorrect time display. | DCF signal not received, manual setting error. |
|
| Display is dim or blank. | Low main unit battery. | Replace main unit batteries. |
| Weather forecast seems inaccurate. | Weather forecasts are predictions based on atmospheric pressure changes and are not always precise. | This is normal. The forecast is an indication, not a guarantee. |
