4. Assembly Instructions
Follow the numbered steps in the included diagrammatic instruction booklet. General steps include:
- Preparation: Carefully remove parts from the sprues using nippers. Clean any flash or mold lines with a hobby knife or sanding stick.
- Sub-assemblies: Assemble smaller components first, such as the turret, chassis, and road wheels, before attaching them to the main hull.
- Adhesion: Use plastic cement sparingly to join parts. Allow sufficient drying time for each section before proceeding.
- Photo-Etched Parts: Bend and attach photo-etched parts using super glue or specialized photo-etch adhesive, following the diagrams.
- Track Assembly: Assemble the individual track links according to the instructions, ensuring proper alignment and flexibility.
5. Painting and Decals
Refer to the painting and marking guide for recommended color schemes and decal placement. The kit provides options for various markings.
- Surface Preparation: Ensure the model surface is clean and free of dust or grease before painting. A primer coat is recommended for optimal paint adhesion.
- Painting: Apply paint in thin, even coats. Multiple thin coats are preferable to one thick coat. Allow each coat to dry thoroughly.
- Decal Application: Cut out desired decals. Dip them in water for a few seconds until they can slide freely from the backing paper. Position the decal on the model and gently slide the backing paper away. Use decal setting solutions to help decals conform to irregular surfaces and eliminate silvering.

7. Operating
This product is a static display model kit and does not have operational functions. It is not designed to be a toy or to be operated.
8. Maintenance
Proper care will preserve the appearance of your finished model:
- Cleaning: Dust the model regularly with a soft brush or a can of compressed air. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Display: Display the model in a stable, dust-free environment away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity to prevent fading or warping.
- Handling: Handle the model carefully, grasping it by the main hull or base to avoid damaging delicate parts.
9. Troubleshooting
Common issues encountered during model assembly and their solutions:
- Parts Not Fitting: Check the instruction diagrams carefully. Ensure all sprue gates and flash are removed. Lightly sand mating surfaces if necessary.
- Gaps Between Parts: Use plastic putty or stretched sprue to fill gaps. Sand smooth once dry.
- Decal Silvering: This occurs when air is trapped under the decal. Apply a gloss coat before decals, use decal setting solution, and ensure the decal is fully wetted.
- Paint Issues: If paint is too thick, thin it with the appropriate thinner. If paint is peeling, ensure the surface was clean and primed.
