4. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to set up your Linkstyle fishing light:
- Prepare Power Source: Ensure you have a DC 12V power source, such as a marine battery.
- Connect Battery Clamps: Attach the red battery clamp to the positive (+) terminal of your 12V battery and the black battery clamp to the negative (-) terminal.
- Submerge Light: Carefully lower the fishing light into the water. It is recommended to submerge the light completely before connecting it to the power source to prevent overheating in air.
- Secure Placement: The light has a built-in weight to help it sink. If additional stability is needed in strong currents, you may attach an extra sinker to the bottom eyelet.

5. Operating Instructions
Once the light is submerged and connected to a 12V power source, it will illuminate. The green light attracts plankton and small baitfish, which in turn draw in larger predatory fish.
- Optimal Depth: Experiment with different depths to find where fish are most active. The 19.2 ft cord allows for versatile placement.
- Water Type: The light is designed for use in both freshwater and saltwater.
- Fishing Method: Use appropriate fishing techniques and bait for the species you intend to catch, as the light primarily serves as an attractant.

6. Maintenance
Proper maintenance will extend the life of your fishing light:
- Cleaning: After each use, especially in saltwater, rinse the light and cord thoroughly with fresh water to remove salt, dirt, and debris.
- Drying: Allow the light to air dry completely before storing.
- Storage: Store the light in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Coil the cord neatly to prevent tangles and damage.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the cord, connections, and light housing for any signs of wear, cuts, or damage. Do not use if damage is observed.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Light does not turn on | No power from battery; Loose connection; Damaged light/cord | Check battery charge; Ensure clamps are securely connected to battery terminals; Inspect cord and light for damage. |
| Light flickers or is dim | Low battery charge; Poor connection; Water ingress | Recharge battery; Secure connections; Discontinue use if water ingress is suspected and contact support. |
| Light floats | Insufficient weight for current conditions | Attach an additional sinker to the bottom eyelet of the light. |
