The ZTE MF971V is a portable 4G LTE Mobile WiFi Hotspot designed to provide high-speed internet access for multiple devices simultaneously. It supports up to 32 Wi-Fi devices and features a 1.44-inch TFT LCD screen for status information.

Setup Guide

1. Inserting the SIM Card and Battery

  1. Open the back cover of the device.
  2. Insert a Micro SIM card with an activated data plan into the SIM card slot. Ensure the SIM card is correctly oriented.
  3. Insert the provided 2300mAh Lithium Ion battery into its compartment.
  4. Replace the back cover, ensuring it clicks securely into place.

2. Initial Power On and Configuration

  1. Press and hold the power button until the device powers on and the screen illuminates.
  2. Wait for the device to boot up and establish a network connection. The screen will display network status.
  3. Important for AT&T and T-Mobile users: Manual APN (Access Point Name) change is required for internet access.
    • For AT&T: APN is "Phone" or "WAP Cingular".
    • For T-Mobile: APN is "fast.t-mobile.com".
    • Refer to the device's web interface settings for APN configuration.

Operating Instructions

Connecting Devices to the Hotspot

  1. Ensure the ZTE MF971V is powered on and has an active network connection.
  2. On your Wi-Fi enabled device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), search for available Wi-Fi networks.
  3. Select the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) displayed on the hotspot's screen or on the label inside the battery compartment.
  4. Enter the Wi-Fi password (Key) also displayed on the hotspot's screen or label.
  5. Your device should now be connected to the internet via the hotspot.
