    • Wired Connection: Connect an Ethernet cable from one of the LAN ports on the router to your computer's Ethernet port.
    • Wireless Connection: On your computer or mobile device, search for the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) printed on the label at the bottom of your router. Connect to this network using the Wi-Fi password (also on the label).
  7. Access Web Interface: Open a web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox) and type http://dlinkrouter.local or 192.168.0.1 into the address bar. Press Enter.
  8. Run Setup Wizard: Follow the on-screen instructions of the D-Link setup wizard to configure your internet connection, change the Wi-Fi network name (SSID), and set a new Wi-Fi password and router administrator password.

6. Operating

Once your router is set up, you can manage its functions and connect your devices.

Connecting Devices to Wi-Fi:

To connect a device wirelessly, select the appropriate Wi-Fi network (SSID) from your device's Wi-Fi settings and enter the Wi-Fi password you configured during setup.

Accessing Router Settings:

To access advanced settings, open a web browser and navigate to http://dlinkrouter.local or 192.168.0.1. Log in using the administrator username and password you set. From here, you can:

  • Change Wi-Fi network names and passwords.
  • Set up a Guest Wi-Fi network.
  • Configure parental controls.
  • Manage connected devices.
  • Update firmware.

USB Storage Sharing:

Connect a USB storage device to the USB 3.0 port on the router. You can then access and share files from this storage device across your network. Refer to the router's web interface for specific configuration options for USB sharing.

7. Maintenance

  • Regular Reboot: Periodically reboot your router (unplug the power adapter for 10 seconds and plug it back in) to clear its memory and refresh network connections.
