3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

The camera requires 4 AA batteries for operation. Batteries are included for demo purposes only; use new batteries for regular use. The camera is not rechargeable.

1. Locate the battery compartments on each side of the camera.
2. Open the battery covers.
3. Insert 2 AA batteries into each compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery covers securely.

3.2 Memory Card Installation

The camera has 256 MB of built-in memory. To expand storage for more photos and videos, a micro SD/SDHC card (1 GB to 32 GB) can be used (sold separately).

1. Locate the micro SD card slot, typically found under a protective flap on the side of the camera.
2. Insert the micro SD card into the slot until it clicks into place.
3. To remove, gently push the card until it springs out.

3.3 Connecting Headphones

The camera includes headphones for private listening to music or video audio.

1. Locate the headphone jack on the side of the camera.
2. Plug the headphone connector into the jack.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

To turn the camera on, press and hold the Power button. To turn it off, press and hold the Power button again.

4.3 Recording Videos

The camera can record videos up to 720p resolution.

1. From the main menu, select the video camera icon.
2. Press the Record button to start recording.
3. Press the Record button again to stop recording.

4.4 Using Photo Effects

Enhance your photos with various built-in effects.

1. After taking a photo or when viewing a saved photo, navigate to the effects menu.
2. Select from available frames, filters, stamps, and wacky effects.

4.6 MP3 Player Functionality

1. Connect the camera to a computer using the provided USB cable.
2. Transfer MP3 files to the camera's memory or an inserted micro SD card.
3. From the main menu, select the music icon to access the MP3 player.
4. Use the navigation buttons to select and play songs.

4.7 Transferring Files to a Computer

Use the included USB cable to transfer photos, videos, and MP3 files between the camera and a computer.
