Introduction
This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and effective use of your AUVON TENS 3rd Generation 2x4 Electrode Pads. Please read this guide thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference.
Setup
Before first use, ensure your TENS or EMS unit is compatible with 2mm pin connectors.
- Inspect Pads: Remove the electrode pads from their sealed packaging. Inspect them for any damage.
- Prepare Skin: Clean and dry the skin area where the pads will be applied. Avoid applying to broken, irritated, or sensitive skin.
- Connect Leads: Insert the 2mm pin connectors from your TENS/EMS unit's lead wires firmly into the sockets on the electrode pads.

This image illustrates the universal compatibility of AUVON electrode pads, showing them connected via a 2mm pin connector to several popular TENS/EMS units, including AUVON's own rechargeable unit, TENS 7000, HeathmateForever YK15AB, Santamedical LFM-110, and TRUMIC TENS machine.
Operating Instructions
- Apply Pads: Carefully peel the electrode pads from their protective liner. Apply the adhesive side firmly to the prepared skin area. Ensure full contact.
- Start Session: Turn on your TENS/EMS unit and select the desired program and intensity according to your device's instructions and your comfort level.
- Monitor Skin: Periodically check the skin under the pads for any signs of irritation or redness during and after use. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.
- Removal: After your session, gently peel the pads off your skin. Avoid pulling on the lead wires.

Maintenance
Proper care extends the life of your AUVON electrode pads.
- Reapply Liner: After each use, immediately place the adhesive side of the pads back onto their protective liner.
- Store Properly: Store the pads in their original resealable bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Cleanliness: If the adhesive becomes less sticky, gently dab the adhesive surface with a small amount of water. Do not use soap, alcohol, or other cleaning agents. Allow to air dry completely before reapplying to the liner.
- Replacement: Replace pads when they no longer adhere well to the skin or when they show signs of wear, such as fraying or discoloration. Worn pads can lead to uneven current distribution and reduced effectiveness.

Troubleshooting
- Pads not sticking:
- Ensure skin is clean and dry before application.
- Gently clean the adhesive surface with a damp cloth and allow to air dry.
- Replace pads if they are old or excessively worn.
- Uneven sensation or discomfort:
- Check that both pads are making full contact with the skin.
- Ensure lead wires are securely connected to the pads and the TENS unit.
- Replace pads if they are damaged or worn, as this can affect current distribution.
- No sensation:
- Verify the TENS/EMS unit is turned on and functioning correctly.
- Check all connections: unit to lead wires, and lead wires to pads.
- Increase intensity gradually on the TENS/EMS unit.
