Setup Instructions
Initial Setup and Firmware Update (PC/Mac)
- Download and install the ASTRO Command Center software on your PC or Mac.
- Connect the ASTRO A20 receiver/base station to your computer using the provided USB cable.
- Connect the A20 headset to the base station using a short USB cable (if not already connected wirelessly).
- Open the ASTRO Command Center and allow any available firmware updates to install. This ensures optimal performance.
- Within the ASTRO Command Center, you can adjust EQ settings, microphone levels, and other parameters to your preference.
Xbox One Connection
- Connect the ASTRO A20 base station to your Xbox One using the longer USB cable (for power and data) and the optical cable (for game audio).
- Ensure the base station is switched to 'XBOX' mode.
- On your Xbox One, navigate to Settings > Display & Sound > Audio Output.
- Set the Optical audio to Stereo uncompressed. The headset does not support DTS or Dolby Digital Surround directly.
- For virtual surround sound, enable Windows Sonic for Headphones or Dolby Atmos for Headphones (if purchased) in the Xbox One audio settings.
- Check the box for HDMI/Optical headset.
- The short USB cable can be used to charge the headset directly from the Xbox One or the base station.

Powering On/Off

Charging the Headset
