1. Important Safety Instructions
Please read and understand all instructions before using this heater. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.
- Do not touch the heater when in use.
- Keep flammable materials at least 3 feet (0.9 meters) away from the front of the heater.
- Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug, or after the heater malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
- Always unplug the heater when not in use.
- This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces.
- Do not use outdoors if exposed to rain or excessive moisture. This heater is designed for indoor/outdoor use in covered areas.
- Ensure the power outlet voltage matches the heater's requirements (120 Volts).
- The heater features an anti-tilt switch for added safety. If the heater is tilted beyond a certain angle, it will automatically shut off.

3. Setup and Installation
This heater is designed for hanging installation. Ensure the mounting surface is sturdy enough to support the heater's weight (approximately 5 pounds) and any additional stress from wind or movement.
Installation Steps:
- Choose a Location: Select a suitable location in your gazebo, patio, or indoor area that is protected from direct rain and allows for proper clearance around the heater. Ensure there is a power outlet within reach of the heater's cord.
- Secure Mounting Point: Install a secure hook or bracket (not included, unless specified in package contents) into a ceiling beam or sturdy overhead structure. This mounting point must be capable of safely holding the heater's weight.
- Hang the Heater: Attach the provided mounting chain to the heater's top loop. Then, hang the chain from the secure hook or bracket. Ensure the heater hangs level and is at a safe distance from walls, curtains, and other flammable materials.
- Connect Power: Plug the heater's power cord into a standard 120V electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet is properly grounded and rated for the heater's 1500W power consumption.
4. Operating Instructions
The Hiland Electric Gazebo Heater can be operated using the integrated power switch or the included remote control.
Using the Remote Control:

- Power Button (⏻): Press to turn the heater ON or OFF.
- 500W Button: Activates the low heat setting (500 Watts).
- 1000W Button: Activates the medium heat setting (1000 Watts).
- 1500W Button: Activates the high heat setting (1500 Watts).
When the heater is on, the heating element will glow. The intensity of the glow will vary with the selected heat setting.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your heater. Always unplug the heater and allow it to cool completely before performing any maintenance.
- Cleaning: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure no water enters the internal components.
- Storage: If storing the heater for an extended period, unplug it and store it in a cool, dry place, protected from dust and moisture.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the power cord and plug for any signs of damage. If damaged, do not use the heater and contact qualified service personnel.
6. Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with your heater, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
