Safety Information
Always prioritize safety when operating power equipment. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury or property damage.
- Read the Manual: Understand all instructions and warnings before operating the mower.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear safety glasses, sturdy footwear, and hearing protection. Avoid loose clothing that could get caught in moving parts.
- Clear the Area: Before mowing, clear the lawn of any objects such as rocks, sticks, wires, or toys that could be thrown by the blade.
- Keep Bystanders Away: Ensure children, pets, and other people are at a safe distance (at least 50 feet / 15 meters) from the mowing area.
- Inspect Before Use: Check the mower for any damaged parts, loose fasteners, or worn blades before each use. Do not operate if damaged.
- Avoid Wet Grass: Do not mow in wet conditions. Wet grass can be slippery and cause the mower to clog.
- Slope Safety: Mow across the face of slopes, not up and down. Exercise extreme caution when changing direction on slopes. Avoid excessively steep slopes.
- Blade Contact: Never place hands or feet near or under the mower deck while the motor is running.
- Battery Safety: Use only the specified battery and charger. Do not expose the battery to water or extreme temperatures.
- Maintenance: Disconnect the battery before performing any maintenance, cleaning, or when clearing a clogged chute.
- Storage: Store the mower and battery in a dry, secure location, out of reach of children.

Operating Instructions
1. Adjusting Cutting Height
The mower features a one-touch height adjustment lever, offering 6 cutting positions from 1 1/2 inches to 4 inches. Select the appropriate height for your lawn conditions. For best results, avoid cutting more than one-third of the grass blade length at a time.
2. Starting the Mower
To start the mower, ensure the battery is inserted and the safety key (if applicable) is in place. Press and hold the start button, then pull the bale switch (handle bar) towards you. The mower will start. Release the bale switch to stop the mower.

3. Mowing Techniques
For an even cut, overlap each pass slightly. Mow in straight lines. The 3-in-1 function allows for mulching, bagging, or side discharge. Choose the method best suited for your lawn and preferences.
- Mulching: Recycles fine grass clippings back into the lawn as natural fertilizer.
- Bagging: Collects clippings for disposal, ideal for taller grass or a clean finish.
- Side Discharge: Disperses clippings to the side, useful for very tall grass or when mulching/bagging is not desired.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your LawnMaster mower. Always remove the battery before performing any maintenance.
- Cleaning: After each use, clean the underside of the mower deck to prevent grass buildup. Use a brush or cloth; avoid using water directly on electrical components.
- Blade Inspection: Regularly inspect the blade for sharpness and damage. A dull or damaged blade can lead to poor cutting performance and strain the motor. Replace or sharpen the blade as needed.
- Battery Care: Store the battery in a cool, dry place. Do not store fully discharged. Charge the battery periodically if not used for extended periods.
- Storage: The mower's handle can be folded for compact storage. Store the mower in a dry, protected area.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your mower, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Mower does not start. | Battery not charged or improperly inserted. Safety key not engaged. Bale switch not pulled. | Ensure battery is fully charged and securely inserted. Check if the safety key is fully engaged. Pull the bale switch firmly towards the handle. |
| Mower stops during operation. | Battery depleted. Overload protection activated (e.g., very thick grass). | Recharge the battery. If mowing thick grass, try raising the cutting height or reducing your mowing speed. |
| Uneven cut or poor performance. | Dull or damaged blade. Grass buildup under the deck. Incorrect cutting height for grass type. | Inspect and sharpen/replace the blade. Clean the underside of the deck. Adjust cutting height. |
| Excessive vibration. | Damaged or unbalanced blade. Loose components. | Inspect the blade for damage and ensure it is properly balanced. Check all fasteners for tightness. |
