2. Safety Information

3.1 Front Panel Controls and Ports

- Power Button (⏻): Turns the unit on or off.
- Play/Pause (▶/⏸): Starts or pauses playback for CD/USB.
- Skip Back (⏮): Skips to the previous track/station.

4. Setup
4.1 Power Connection
The Lenoxx Boombox BD 121 can be powered by AC mains or batteries.
- AC Power: Connect the supplied AC power cord to the AC power input on the rear of the unit and then to a standard wall outlet. The unit supports automatic bivolt (110V-240V) operation.
- Battery Power: For portable use, open the battery compartment (usually on the bottom of the unit) and insert the required number of C-size batteries (not included), observing correct polarity.
4.2 Antenna Adjustment
For optimal FM radio reception, fully extend the telescopic antenna located on the rear of the unit. Adjust its position and direction to achieve the clearest signal.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off
Press the Power Button (⏻) once to turn the unit on. Press it again to turn the unit off.
5.2 CD Playback
- Open the CD compartment lid by gently pressing the 'OPEN' area.
- Place a CD (audio CD or MP3 CD) onto the spindle with the label side facing up.
- Close the CD compartment lid firmly.
- Press the MD/EQ button repeatedly until 'CD' mode is selected on the display.
- The CD will begin playing automatically. If not, press the Play/Pause (▶/⏸) button.
- Use Skip Back (⏮) or Skip Forward (⏭) to navigate between tracks.
- Press Repeat (↺REP) to repeat the current track or all tracks.
5.3 USB Playback
- Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 audio files into the USB Port.
- Press the MD/EQ button repeatedly until 'USB' mode is selected on the display.
- The unit will automatically detect and begin playing MP3 files from the USB drive. If not, press the Play/Pause (▶/⏸) button.
- Use Skip Back (⏮) or Skip Forward (⏭) to navigate between tracks.
- Press Repeat (↺REP) to repeat the current track or all tracks.
5.4 FM Radio Operation
- Extend the telescopic FM antenna for better reception.
- Press the MD/EQ button repeatedly until 'FM' mode is selected on the display.
- Press and hold Skip Back (⏮) or Skip Forward (⏭) to automatically scan for the next available station.
- Press briefly to fine-tune the frequency manually.
5.5 AUX Input
- Connect an external audio device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player) to the AUX IN Port using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).
- Press the MD/EQ button repeatedly until 'AUX' mode is selected on the display.
- Control playback and volume from your connected external device.
5.6 Headphone Use
Connect standard 3.5mm headphones to the PHONES Port for private listening. Audio will be muted from the boombox speakers when headphones are connected.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. For the CD lens, use a specialized CD lens cleaner.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the unit in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove batteries if using battery power.
- CD Handling: Always handle CDs by their edges. Avoid touching the playing surface. Store CDs in their cases to prevent scratches.
