2. Setup and Installation
2.1 Unpacking and Placement
- Remove all packaging materials, including tape and protective films.
- Ensure the refrigerator is placed on a level, sturdy floor capable of supporting its weight.
- Allow adequate clearance around the refrigerator for proper air circulation (minimum 2 inches at the back and sides, 12 inches at the top).
- Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources.
2.2 Electrical Connection
Connect the refrigerator to a dedicated, grounded 120 Volt, 60 Hz AC outlet with a 15 or 20 Amp circuit breaker. Do not use an extension cord.
2.3 Water Line Connection (for Water and Ice Dispenser)
A cold water supply line is required for the automatic ice maker and water dispenser. Refer to the separate installation guide for detailed instructions on connecting the water line. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent leaks.
3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Control Panel
The digital control panel, located on the dispenser, allows you to adjust temperature settings for both the refrigerator and freezer compartments. It also provides access to features like Ice Plus, Water Filter status, and dispenser lock.
3.2 Door-in-Door Feature
The Door-in-Door feature provides quick and easy access to frequently used items without opening the main refrigerator door, helping to conserve energy. Press the small button on the right French door handle to open the outer Door-in-Door compartment.

3.3 Water and Ice Dispenser
The dispenser provides filtered water and cubed or crushed ice. Select your desired option using the buttons on the control panel. For first-time use or after replacing the water filter, dispense several gallons of water to flush the system.
3.4 Multi Air Flow System
This system ensures even cooling throughout the refrigerator by circulating cold air through multiple vents. This helps maintain optimal temperatures and keeps food fresher for longer.
3.5 Linear Compressor
The LG Linear Compressor operates with fewer friction points than conventional compressors, leading to greater energy efficiency, quieter operation, and enhanced durability. It precisely controls temperature to keep food fresh.
4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
- Interior: Clean with a mild soap and water solution. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Remove shelves and drawers for easier cleaning.
- Exterior: Wipe with a clean, soft cloth. For stainless steel surfaces, use a stainless steel cleaner.
- Door Gaskets: Clean regularly with a damp cloth to ensure a tight seal.
4.2 Water Filter Replacement
The water filter should be replaced approximately every six months, or when the "Filter Status" indicator on the control panel illuminates. Refer to the filter replacement instructions provided with your new filter.
