Setup and Installation

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the ice maker and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Placement: Place the ice maker on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit, especially at the rear and sides.
  3. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean the interior of the ice maker.
    • Wipe the interior with a soft cloth dampened with warm water and a mild detergent.
    • Rinse thoroughly and drain any remaining water.
    • Clean the ice scoop with warm soapy water and dry completely.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the ice maker into a grounded 115 Volt electrical outlet.

Making Ice

  1. Fill Water Reservoir: Open the lid and fill the water reservoir with potable water up to the MAX fill line. Do not overfill.
  2. Power On: Press the ON/OFF button to start the ice making process.
  3. Select Ice Size: Press the SELECT button to choose your desired ice cube size (Small or Large). The corresponding LED will illuminate.
  4. Ice Production: The unit will begin producing ice. The first batch of ice can be ready in as little as 6 minutes.
  5. Ice Collection: When the ICE FULL indicator illuminates, the ice basket is full. Remove ice using the provided scoop. The unit will pause production until ice is removed.
  6. Refilling Water: When the ADD WATER indicator illuminates, refill the reservoir to continue ice production.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Igloo ICE103 Ice Maker.

  1. Daily Cleaning:
    • After each use, drain any remaining water from the reservoir.
    • Wipe the interior and exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth.
  2. Weekly Cleaning:
    • Unplug the unit.
    • Remove the ice basket.
    • Clean the water reservoir and ice basket with a solution of warm water and mild dish soap.
    • Rinse all components thoroughly with clean water.
    • Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling and storing or using again.
  3. Descaling (Monthly or as needed):
    • To remove mineral deposits, mix a solution of water and vinegar (1:1 ratio) or a commercial descaling agent.
    • Pour the solution into the water reservoir.
    • Run the ice maker for a few cycles (without consuming the ice) to circulate the solution.
    • Drain the solution completely and rinse the reservoir multiple times with fresh water to remove any residue or odor.
  4. Storage: If storing the ice maker for an extended period, ensure it is thoroughly cleaned and dried. Store in a cool, dry place.

Troubleshooting

  • If there is an ice blockage, turn off the machine. Start the machine after the ice block melts. Or change the size selector to small ice cubes.
Ice cubes are too small or soft.Water temperature too high, first few cycles, ambient temperature.Use colder water. The first few cycles may produce smaller ice. Ensure unit is in a cool environment. Select a larger ice size if available.
