Setup and Assembly
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for storage or future transport.
- Attach Flexible Hose: Insert the end of the flexible hose into the air inlet opening on the main unit until it clicks securely into place.
- Assemble Telescopic Tube: Connect the telescopic metal tube to the handle end of the flexible hose. Adjust the tube length by pressing the release button and extending or retracting the tube.
- Attach Floor Brush: Connect the desired cleaning attachment (e.g., floor brush) to the end of the telescopic tube.
- Power Connection: Pull out the power cord to the desired length. The cord has a maximum length of 4.5 meters. Insert the plug into a suitable electrical outlet.
Operating Instructions
- Power On: Press the power button (refer to Figure 2) located on the main unit to start the vacuum cleaner.
- Vacuuming: Guide the floor brush or other attachment over the surface to be cleaned. The powerful cyclonic suction will collect dust and debris into the transparent dust container.
- Using Accessories:
- The floor brush is suitable for both hard floors and carpets.
- The crevice tool is ideal for narrow gaps, corners, and edges.
- The upholstery brush is designed for cleaning sofas, curtains, and other fabric surfaces.
- Power Off: Press the power button again to turn off the vacuum cleaner.
- Cord Rewind: After use, unplug the vacuum cleaner from the wall outlet. Press the cord rewind button (refer to Figure 2) to automatically retract the power cord into the unit.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your vacuum cleaner.
Emptying the Dust Container
- Ensure the vacuum cleaner is unplugged from the power outlet.
- Locate the dust container release button/latch on the main unit.
- Press the release button and carefully remove the dust container.
- Hold the dust container over a waste bin and open its bottom lid to empty the collected dust and debris.
- Close the lid and reattach the dust container to the main unit, ensuring it clicks securely into place.
Cleaning the Filters
The Jocca 5923 features 5 filtration systems. Regular cleaning of these filters is crucial for maintaining suction power.
- Unplug the vacuum cleaner.
- Remove the dust container as described above.
- Access the filters (typically located within or around the dust container). There may be a pre-motor filter and an exhaust filter.
- Gently tap the filters over a waste bin to remove loose dust.
- If washable, rinse the filters under cold running water. Do not use detergents.
- Allow filters to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting them. Do not use a hairdryer or other heating devices.
- Reassemble the filters and dust container.
Cleaning Attachments and Exterior
- Wipe the exterior of the vacuum cleaner with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- Remove any tangled hair or debris from the floor brush and other attachments.
