Setup & Installation

1. Assemble the Ground Spike: Connect the two parts of the ground spike together. Attach the assembled spike to the back of the solar panel.
2. Position the Solar Panel: Choose a location for the solar panel that receives maximum direct sunlight throughout the day. Avoid shaded areas. Insert the ground spike firmly into soft soil.
3. Unravel the String Lights: Carefully uncoil the honey bee string lights, ensuring they are not tangled.
4. Decorate: Arrange the string lights as desired in your garden, around trees, bushes, or other outdoor features. Ensure the solar panel remains exposed to sunlight.

Operating Instructions

The solar panel has two buttons: ON/OFF and MODE.

1. Initial Use: Before first use, ensure the solar panel is charged for at least 6-8 hours in direct sunlight with the ON/OFF button in the 'ON' position.
2. Power On/Off: Press the ON/OFF button on the back of the solar panel to turn the lights on or off.
3. Select Lighting Mode: Press the MODE button to cycle through the available lighting patterns. The lights will remember the last selected mode.
4. Automatic Operation: Once charged and turned 'ON', the lights will automatically illuminate at dusk and turn off at dawn.

Maintenance

• Clean the Solar Panel: Regularly wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, or debris. A clean panel ensures efficient charging.
• Check Connections: Periodically inspect all connections to ensure they are secure.

Troubleshooting

• Lights do not turn on at night:
  • Ensure the ON/OFF switch is in the 'ON' position.
  • Verify the solar panel is receiving sufficient direct sunlight (6-8 hours) during the day.
  • Check if the solar panel is clean and free from obstructions.
  • Ensure the solar panel is not placed near other light sources at night, which might prevent it from activating.
• Lights are dim or only last a short time:
  • The solar panel may not be fully charged. Relocate it to an area with more direct sunlight.
  • The battery might be old or damaged. While the battery is included and rechargeable, its lifespan can vary.
