1. Introduction

The iOTA 360 is a versatile 11.6-inch convertible HD Tablet PC designed to adapt to your needs. Featuring a flexible hinge, it seamlessly transitions between four distinct modes: Laptop, Tablet, Stand, and Tent. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your device.

2. Getting Started: Setup

2.1 Package Contents

Ensure all items are present in the box:

  • iOTA 360 Convertible HD Tablet PC
  • Power Adapter
  • Quick Start Guide (if included)

2.2 Initial Charging

Before first use, connect the power adapter to the device's charging port and a power outlet. Allow the device to charge for at least 3 hours or until the battery indicator shows a full charge. The device can be used while charging.

2.3 Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the power button located on the side of the device until the screen illuminates.
  • To Power Off: Navigate to the Windows Start Menu, select the Power icon, and choose "Shut down." Alternatively, press and hold the power button for several seconds to force a shutdown (use only if the device is unresponsive).

2.4 Initial Windows 10 Setup

Upon first power-on, you will be guided through the Windows 10 setup process. This includes selecting your language, region, connecting to a Wi-Fi network, and setting up your user account. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the setup.

2.5 Connecting Peripherals

The iOTA 360 offers various ports for connecting external devices:

  • USB Devices: Connect USB keyboards, mice, or external storage to the available USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 ports.
  • External Display: Use the Micro HDMI output port to connect to an external monitor or TV. An appropriate Micro HDMI to HDMI cable (sold separately) is required.
  • Micro SD Card: Insert a Micro SD card into the dedicated slot for expanded storage.
  • Headphones: Plug 3.5mm headphones into the headphone jack for private audio.

3. Operating the Device

3.1 Convertible Modes

The iOTA 360's flexible hinge allows for four primary modes of operation:

  • Laptop Mode: The traditional laptop configuration with the screen open and keyboard accessible for typing and productivity.
  • Tablet Mode: Fold the screen completely back against the base to use the device as a tablet, ideal for touch-based interaction.
  • Stand Mode: Position the device with the keyboard facing down and the screen angled upwards, suitable for watching videos or presentations.
  • Tent Mode: Form an inverted 'V' shape with the device, allowing for stable placement on narrow surfaces, also good for media consumption.

3.2 Touchscreen Usage

The 11.6-inch HD touchscreen supports multi-touch gestures. Common gestures include:

  • Tap: Select an item or open an application.
  • Tap and Hold: Access contextual menus.
  • Pinch-to-Zoom: Enlarge or shrink content.
  • Swipe: Scroll through pages or lists.

3.3 Keyboard and Touchpad

The integrated keyboard features an AZERTY layout. The touchpad below the keyboard supports standard mouse functions and multi-touch gestures for navigation.

3.4 Wireless Connectivity

  • Wi-Fi: To connect to a wireless network, click the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar, select your desired network, and enter the password if required.
  • Bluetooth: To pair Bluetooth devices (e.g., headphones, speakers), go to Windows Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices, and follow the pairing instructions.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning the Device

  • Screen: Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a screen cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals.
  • Body: Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

4.2 Battery Care

  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • For long-term storage, charge the battery to about 50-60% and store the device in a cool, dry place.
  • Use only the original or an approved replacement power adapter.

4.3 Software Updates

Regularly check for and install Windows updates to ensure optimal performance, security, and access to the latest features. Go to Windows Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.

4.4 Storage Management

With 32GB of eMMC storage, it is important to manage your disk space. Regularly delete unnecessary files, uninstall unused applications, and consider using cloud storage or a Micro SD card for larger files.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Device Not Powering On

  • Ensure the device is fully charged or connected to the power adapter.
  • Try holding the power button for 10-15 seconds to perform a hard reset.

5.2 Wi-Fi Connectivity Issues

  • Verify that Wi-Fi is enabled in Windows settings.
  • Restart your Wi-Fi router and the iOTA 360.
  • Forget the network and reconnect.
  • Ensure you are within range of the Wi-Fi signal.

5.3 Slow Performance

  • Close unnecessary applications running in the background.
  • Check for and install any pending Windows updates.
  • Ensure sufficient free storage space (refer to Storage Management).
  • Run a disk cleanup utility.

5.4 Screen Not Responding to Touch

  • Restart the device.
  • Ensure the screen is clean and free of debris.
  • Check for driver updates in Device Manager.

5.5 Incorrect Keyboard Input (AZERTY vs. QWERTY)

The device comes with an AZERTY keyboard layout. If you are accustomed to QWERTY, you may need to adjust your typing or change the input language settings in Windows. Go to Windows Settings > Time & Language > Language, and add or switch to the desired keyboard layout.
