Your Hatchimals Mystery egg comes with pre-installed batteries. To activate the toy, locate and remove the two plastic pull tabs from the bottom of the egg. Once the tabs are removed, the egg will begin to respond to interaction.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Nurturing the Egg (Stage 1)
Before hatching, your Hatchimal needs your care. Interact with the egg by tilting, tapping, or touching it. The more you play, the faster it will be ready to hatch. Pay attention to the eye colors for clues about its mood and needs.

4.2. Hatching (Stage 2)
When your Hatchimal is ready to hatch, its eyes will glow rainbow colors. It will begin to peck its way out of the shell. Continue to hold and interact with the egg to encourage the hatching process. If it pauses, hold the egg to encourage it to continue.

4.3. Baby Stage (Stage 3)
Once hatched, your Hatchimal is a baby. Care for it by feeding, cuddling, comforting, and providing attention. Its eyes will indicate its needs.

4.4. Toddler Stage (Stage 4)
As your Hatchimal grows, it will enter the toddler stage. You can teach it to walk, talk, dance, and fly. Continue to interact to unlock new activities and sounds.

4.6. Teaching Your Hatchimal Its Name
Your Hatchimal can learn your name! To teach it, squeeze its belly and press its head at the same time. When its eyes turn solid blue, say your name clearly. Once done recording, release its head and belly. Your Hatchimal will then use your name in everyday chat. You can record new names at any time by repeating these steps.
