Setup

  1. Placement: Place the money counter on a stable, flat surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or excessive dust.
  2. Power Connection: Connect the US standard power cord to the machine's power input port located at the rear. Plug the other end into a compatible power outlet (85V-250V).
  3. Power On: Locate the power switch, typically on the side or rear of the machine, and turn it to the 'ON' position. The LCD display should illuminate.
  4. Bill Loading:
    • Ensure bills are neat and flat before loading.
    • Place the wad of bills into the hopper in an orderly manner, ensuring they are properly aligned.

Operating Instructions

The DMS-1580T BV offers various modes to suit your counting needs:

Figure 3: Control Panel and Modes. The image highlights the machine's LCD display and control buttons, detailing the available operation modes such as Value Counting, Auto/Manual, Add, Batch, Counting, and Detection modes.

  • Counting Mode: This is the default mode for counting the quantity of bills without detection. All paper currencies are compatible in this mode.
  • Detection Mode (UV/MG/MT/IR/DD):

The machine is equipped with multiple precise detection technologies to identify counterfeit bills:

    • UV (Ultraviolet) Detection: Checks for UV features on bills.
    • MG (Magnetic) Detection: Detects magnetic ink.
    • MT (Metal Thread) Detection: Verifies the presence of a metallic security thread.
    • IR (Infrared) Detection: Analyzes infrared patterns and bill thickness.
    • DD (Dimensional Detection): Checks for correct bill size.
    • Also includes Half-note & Chain-note, and Slope-note detection.

If a suspicious bill is detected, the LCD display will turn red and an audible alarm will sound.

  • Value Counting Mode (US Dollar Only - Not Mix Value):

This mode counts the number of bills and calculates the total monetary value of a selected single denomination. This function is specifically for US dollars. The machine does not automatically recognize the denomination of the bill; you must separate bills of various denominations before adding each stack.

When used in conjunction with Add Mode, you can sum up the total value of different denominations by processing them in separate batches.

  • Add Mode: Allows the machine to continuously add the count of multiple batches.
  • Batch Mode: Set a specific batch value. The machine will automatically stop after counting the predetermined number of bills, facilitating separation into specific quantities.
  • Auto/Manual Mode: Select between automatic start upon bill insertion or manual start via a button press.
  • Reset Mode: Clears the current count and resets the machine for a new operation.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and accuracy of your money counter:

  • Cleaning: Use the provided cleaning brush to regularly remove dust and debris from the bill path, sensors, and rubber wheels. Covered sensors help prevent dust accumulation, but periodic cleaning is still recommended.
  • Rubber Wheel Inspection: Periodically check the 13 high-quality rubber wheels for wear and tear. A spare rubber ring is included for replacement if needed.
  • General Care: Keep the machine in a clean, dry environment. Avoid spilling liquids on the device.
