4. Maintenance

4.1 Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid extreme temperatures. Use the provided charger for optimal charging speed and efficiency. While the phone is designed for all-day use, heavy application usage or continuous streaming may reduce battery duration.

Regularly check for and install software updates. These updates provide security patches, performance improvements, and new features. You can check for updates in Settings > System > System updates.

4.3 Cleaning Your Device

Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean your phone's screen and body. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals. For stubborn smudges, a slightly damp cloth can be used, ensuring no moisture enters ports.

4.4 Water Protection

The Moto X4 features a waterproof design, offering protection against accidental spills, splashes, and light rain. However, it is not designed for submersion in water or exposure to pressurized water. Always ensure ports are dry before charging.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Common Issues and Solutions

  • Phone Freezes or Becomes Unresponsive: Press and hold the Power button for about 10-15 seconds to force a restart.
  • Apps Loading Slowly: Clear app caches (Settings > Apps & notifications > App info > [App Name] > Storage & cache > Clear cache) or restart the device. Ensure you have sufficient storage space.
  • Battery Drains Quickly: Reduce screen brightness, close unused apps, disable unnecessary background data, or check battery usage in Settings > Battery to identify power-hungry apps.
  • Poor Call Quality: Ensure you have good network signal. Try moving to a different location. If issues persist, contact your service provider.
