Setup

Unpacking

Carefully remove the binoculars and all accessories from the packaging. Inspect for any visible damage. Retain the packaging for future storage or transport.

Attaching the Neck Strap

Thread the provided neck strap through the strap lugs on each side of the binocular body. Ensure the strap is securely fastened and adjusted to a comfortable length for carrying.

Adjusting Interpupillary Distance

Hold the binoculars up to your eyes. Adjust the distance between the two barrels by moving them closer or further apart until you see a single, clear circular field of view. This ensures proper alignment with your eyes.

Initial Focus Adjustment (Sports Auto Focus)

The Sports Auto Focus system provides a fixed focus from 20 yards to infinity. For initial setup, look through the binoculars at a distant object. If necessary, make minor adjustments to the individual diopter settings on each eyepiece to achieve optimal clarity for your vision. Once set, no further focusing is typically required for objects within the specified range.

Operating Your Binoculars

Viewing Technique

Bring the binoculars to your eyes, ensuring the interpupillary distance is correctly set. Scan the area of interest. The 10x magnification will bring distant objects closer, while the wide field of view allows for broad observation.

Utilizing Sports Auto Focus

With the Sports Auto Focus, simply point the binoculars at your target. Objects from 20 yards to infinity will appear sharp without manual adjustment. This allows for quick target acquisition and continuous observation without interruption.

Low-Light Performance

The large 50mm objective lenses are designed to gather ample light, providing bright and clear images even in challenging low-light conditions, such as dawn, dusk, or heavily overcast days.

Maintenance and Care

Cleaning Lenses

Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses. Gently wipe away dust or smudges. For stubborn marks, use a small amount of lens cleaning fluid applied to the cloth, not directly to the lens. Avoid abrasive materials or excessive pressure.

Cleaning Housing

The Makrolon housing and rubber armoring can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly. Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents.

Storage

When not in use, store the binoculars in their protective case in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure lens caps are in place to protect the optics.

Troubleshooting

Blurred Image

  • Ensure the interpupillary distance is correctly set for your eyes.
  • Verify individual diopter settings on each eyepiece are adjusted for your vision.
  • Clean the objective and eyepiece lenses if smudges or dust are present.
  • Confirm the target is within the Sports Auto Focus range (20 yards to infinity).

Double Image

  • Adjust the interpupillary distance until the two fields of view merge into one.
  • If the issue persists after adjusting, the binoculars may require professional servicing.

Fogging

  • External fogging can be wiped away with a soft cloth.
  • Internal fogging indicates a seal compromise. Contact customer support for assistance, as the binoculars are designed to be fog-resistant.
