5. Setup and Installation
This retrofit downlight is designed for quick and easy installation into existing 4-inch, 5-inch, or 6-inch recessed housings. No tools are typically required.
- Turn Off Power: Before starting, ensure the power to the recessed lighting fixture is turned off at the circuit breaker to prevent electrical shock.
- Remove Existing Fixture: Carefully remove the existing bulb and trim from the recessed housing.
- Install E-26 Adaptor: Screw the provided E-26 screw-in adaptor into the existing E-26 socket within the recessed housing.
- Connect Downlight: Connect the male connector from the LED retrofit downlight to the female connector of the E-26 adaptor. Ensure a secure connection.
- Insert into Housing: Gently push the LED retrofit downlight into the recessed housing. The spring clips on the side of the downlight will secure it in place. The adjustable bracket can accommodate 5-inch and 6-inch housings.
