Assembly Instructions

The Real Flame Riverside Fire Pit requires minimal assembly. Ensure all components are present before beginning.

  1. Carefully unbox the fire pit components. The unit is heavy; assistance is recommended.
  2. Attach the necessary support legs or base as per the included hardware.
  3. Place the lava rock filler evenly around the burner ring in the fire bowl. Do not cover the igniter or burner ports.
  4. Connect the LP hose and regulator to a standard 20 lb propane tank. Ensure all connections are tight.
  5. If converting to natural gas, follow the specific instructions provided with the natural gas conversion kit. This process should be performed by a qualified installer.
  6. Insert 1 AA battery into the electronic igniter module.

Operating Instructions

Lighting the Fire Pit

  1. Ensure the propane tank valve is fully open (turn counter-clockwise).
  2. Locate the control knob on the side of the fire pit. Push the control knob in and turn it to the 'LOW' position.
  3. While holding the control knob in, press and hold the electronic igniter button until the burner ignites. You should hear a clicking sound.
  4. Once ignited, continue to hold the control knob for 10-15 seconds to ensure the flame is established.
  5. Release the control knob. If the flame extinguishes, repeat the lighting procedure.
  6. Adjust the flame height by turning the control knob between 'LOW' and 'HIGH' settings.

Turning Off the Fire Pit

  1. Turn the control knob to the 'OFF' position.
  2. Close the valve on the propane tank by turning it clockwise until fully closed.
  3. Allow the fire pit to cool completely before covering or moving.
