The Nespresso Vertuo coffee and espresso machine by De'Longhi is designed to brew single-serve coffee and espresso with ease. Setup
Initial Setup
Before first use, ensure the machine is placed on a stable, flat surface. The machine dimensions are 8.97"D x 12.22"W x 12.33"H.

Filling the Water Tank
The machine features an extra-large 54 oz removable water tank.
- Remove the water tank from the back of the machine.
- Fill the tank with fresh, potable water up to the MAX fill line.
- Replace the water tank securely on the machine.
Powering On
Plug the machine into a grounded electrical outlet. The machine has a fast heat-up time of only 15-20 seconds. The indicator light will become steady when ready.

Operating
The Nespresso Vertuo machine brews four cup sizes: 1.35 oz Espresso, 2.7 oz Double Espresso, 5.0 oz Gran Lungo, and 7.7 oz Coffee.

Inserting a Capsule
Lift the lever to open the machine head. Insert a Nespresso Vertuo capsule with the dome side down. Close the machine head and push the lever down to lock it.
Starting the Brew
Place your cup on the adjustable drip tray. Press the brew button once. The machine will automatically read the capsule's barcode and begin brewing, adapting parameters like coffee size, temperature, pressure, and brewing time.

Automatic Capsule Ejection
After brewing, the machine will automatically eject the used capsule into the used capsule container, which holds up to 17 capsules.

Maintenance
Daily Cleaning
Regularly empty and rinse the drip tray and used capsule container. Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth.
Water Tank Cleaning
Clean the water tank periodically with mild detergent and rinse thoroughly.
Descaling
Descale the machine regularly according to the instructions in the full user manual. This helps maintain optimal performance and coffee quality.
