Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your Brondell Swash SE600 bidet toilet seat. No special tools are typically required, and installation can be completed in under an hour.

1. Measure Your Toilet for Proper Fit

Before installation, ensure your toilet is compatible with an elongated bidet seat. Measure the distance from the bolt holes to the front of the toilet bowl (Dimension A) and the distance from the center of the bolt holes to the toilet tank (Dimension B). Also, measure the distance between the bolt holes (Dimension C).

2. Prepare Your Toilet

  1. Remove your existing toilet seat and thoroughly clean the toilet bowl and surrounding area.
  2. Turn off the water supply at the shut-off valve located at the wall behind your toilet.
  3. Flush the toilet to drain the tank completely. Hold down the flush handle until all water is drained.
  4. Unscrew the flexible water supply line from the fill valve at the bottom of the toilet tank. Have a small bucket or towel ready to catch any residual water.

3. Install the T-Valve

  1. Connect the provided T-valve to the fill valve under the toilet tank. Ensure the rubber gasket is properly seated to prevent leaks.
  2. Reconnect the flexible water supply line to the bottom of the T-valve.

4. Install the Mounting Plate

  1. Place the mounting plate over the bolt holes on the toilet, ensuring the arrow on the plate points towards the toilet bowl.
  2. Slide the mounting bolts through the holes in the toilet and secure them with the provided washers and nuts from underneath. Leave the bolts loose enough to allow for minor adjustments later.

5. Attach the Bidet Seat

  1. Place the Swash bidet seat flat onto the toilet, in front of the mounting plate.
  2. Slide the Swash seat towards the tank onto the mounting plate until it clicks securely into place.
  3. Adjust the position of the seat by sliding it forward or backward for the best fit, then tighten the nuts under the toilet to secure it.

6. Connect Water and Power

  1. Connect the elbow side of the bidet hose to the Swash's water inlet on the side of the seat.
  2. Connect the open end of the bidet hose to the T-valve.
  3. Turn on the water supply at the shut-off valve and check for any leaks.
  4. If no leaks are present, plug the Swash into the nearest Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) outlet. The bidet should power on, illuminating the power indicator light. If not, press any button on the seat's control panel.
