Operating Instructions

1. Taking a Measurement

The Beurer BF 185 features quick-start technology for immediate weight measurement. For full body analysis, ensure your feet are bare and make good contact with the electrodes.

  1. Gently tap the scale with your foot to turn it on, or simply step on it.
  2. Wait for "0.0 kg" to appear on the display.
  3. Step onto the scale barefoot, ensuring your feet are positioned on the four metallic electrodes. Stand still.
  4. The scale will first display your weight, then cycle through body fat, body water, muscle percentage, bone mass, and AMR.
  5. The measurements will be saved to your selected user profile.

2. Active Metabolic Rate (AMR) Calculation

The AMR indicates the daily calorie requirement of your body when active. This is calculated based on your entered personal data (gender, age, height, activity level) and your measured body composition.

3. Automatic Shut-off

The scale will automatically turn off after a few seconds of inactivity to conserve battery life.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

Clean the scale regularly to ensure hygiene and accurate readings.

  • Wipe the surface with a damp cloth and a mild detergent if necessary.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or immerse the scale in water.
  • Ensure the scale is completely dry before storage or next use.
