Introduction
The Mission Darkness BlockBox Touch is a specialized shielded enclosure designed for the secure operation and analysis of touchscreen devices. It provides a controlled environment for military and law enforcement forensic investigators, as well as for mobile device testing and isolation. This kit allows users to interact with devices while ensuring they remain shielded from Wi-Fi, cellular, GPS, RFID, and other radio signals from low MHz to 40GHz.
Setup
- Unpack the Kit: Carefully remove the BlockBox Touch from its slim carrying case. The enclosure is designed to collapse for compact storage.
- Expand the Enclosure: Gently unfold the BlockBox Touch to its full internal usable dimensions of approximately 17 inches x 13 inches x 6 inches. Ensure all sides are properly extended to form a stable box shape.
- Prepare the Closure: The unit features a patented NeoLok closure system. To activate the shielding, ensure the top flap is rolled over twice, creating a tight seal. A strong magnetic seal will hold the roll in place, and a quick-snap strap provides extra closure protection.
- Inspect Components: Verify that the transparent viewing window and the double-layer conductive glove are intact and free from damage.

Operating Instructions
The BlockBox Touch is designed for operating devices while maintaining signal isolation. Follow these steps for effective use:
- Place Device Inside: Open the NeoLok closure and carefully place the mobile device (cell phone, tablet, etc.) into the interior of the BlockBox Touch.
- Seal the Enclosure: Close the NeoLok system by rolling the top flap over twice and securing it with the magnetic seal and snap strap. Ensure a complete seal to guarantee RF signal blocking.
- Verify Signal Isolation: Before proceeding with device interaction, it is recommended to verify signal isolation. You can use a separate device to attempt to call or send a message to the device inside the BlockBox. No signal should be received.
- Interact with Device: Insert your hand into the double-layer conductive glove. Use the glove to manipulate the touchscreen device through the transparent viewing window. The glove allows for full touch functionality while maintaining the shielded environment.
- Data Extraction (Optional): If performing data extraction, ensure any cables or external tools are routed through designated shielded ports (if available on your specific model) to maintain signal integrity.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: The exterior ballistic nylon material can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Interior Care: The interior TitanRF Faraday Fabric should be handled with care. Avoid sharp objects that could puncture or tear the fabric, as this may compromise shielding effectiveness.
- Storage: When not in use, fold the BlockBox Touch compactly and store it in its carrying case in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the enclosure for any signs of wear, tear, or damage to the fabric, seams, or closure system. Damaged areas may reduce shielding performance.
Troubleshooting
- Incomplete Signal Blocking: If signals are still reaching the device inside, ensure the NeoLok closure is properly rolled over twice and securely fastened. Check for any visible gaps or damage to the Faraday fabric. Even small openings can compromise shielding.
- Difficulty with Touchscreen Operation: Ensure the conductive glove is worn correctly. If using a stylus, verify it is compatible with the device and the glove material.
- Reduced Visibility Through Window: Clean the transparent window with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid scratching the surface.
