The ELECTOP Light Socket Extender is a versatile adapter designed to extend and adjust the angle of E26/E27 light bulbs. It allows for a 90-degree bending capability and 180-degree adjustability, providing flexibility to direct light precisely where needed. This product is ideal for various applications, including illuminating homes, offices, and workplaces, or for photography setups.

Constructed from high-quality PBT material and metal, this extender is CE certified, ensuring safety and durability. It is designed to be heat resistant and safe from electrical flaming. The extender supports a wattage range of 0-60W and a voltage range of 100-240V. It does not convert voltage, only extends the socket connection.

Safety Information

Please read and understand all safety instructions before using the ELECTOP Light Socket Extender. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or other hazards.

  • Wattage Limit: Do not use light bulbs exceeding 60W with this extender. Using bulbs over 60W may cause the socket to overheat and potentially burn out.
  • Voltage Compatibility: This extender is compatible with 100-240V systems. It does not convert voltage. Ensure your bulb and electrical system are within this range.
  • Weight Limit: The maximum supported weight for an installed bulb is 300 grams (approximately 10.5 ounces). Exceeding this weight may compromise the stability of the bend angle and the integrity of the extender.
  • Indoor Use Recommended: While durable, this product is primarily designed for indoor applications. Avoid exposure to excessive moisture or extreme outdoor elements unless specifically rated for such conditions.
  • Secure Installation: Ensure the extender and bulb are securely screwed into place to prevent accidental dislodgement.
  • Power Off Before Installation: Always turn off the power to the light fixture at the circuit breaker before installing or removing the extender or any light bulb.

Setup

Unpacking

Carefully remove the ELECTOP Light Socket Extender from its packaging. Inspect the extender for any signs of damage during transit. If any damage is observed, do not proceed with installation and contact customer support.

Installation

  1. Prepare the Fixture: Ensure the power to the light fixture is turned off at the main circuit breaker to prevent electrical shock.
  2. Screw in the Extender: Carefully screw the male end (E26/E27 screw base) of the ELECTOP Light Socket Extender into your existing light socket. Turn clockwise until it is snug, but do not overtighten.

Operation

Adjusting the Angle

The ELECTOP Light Socket Extender features a flexible joint that allows for angle adjustment. This enables you to direct the light output as desired.

  1. Identify the Joint: Locate the adjustable joint between the male screw base and the female socket.
  2. Carefully Adjust: Gently bend the extender at the joint to achieve the desired angle. The extender supports a 90-degree bending capability and 180-degree adjustability.

  3. Maintain Stability: Once the desired angle is set, the joint is designed to hold its position. Ensure the bulb's weight does not exceed the 300g limit to maintain a stable bend angle.

Maintenance

The ELECTOP Light Socket Extender requires minimal maintenance to ensure its longevity and proper function.

  • Cleaning: To clean the extender, ensure the power is off and the extender is cool. Wipe it gently with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the extender for any signs of wear, damage, or loose connections. If any issues are found, discontinue use and replace the unit.
  • Storage: If storing the extender, keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
