2. Setup
2.1 Battery Installation
The Bamboo Ink stylus requires one AAAA battery (included) for operation.

- Twist the top cap of the stylus counter-clockwise to open the battery compartment.
- Insert one AAAA battery, ensuring correct polarity.
- Replace the top cap by twisting it clockwise until secure.
2.2 Initial Pairing
The Bamboo Ink stylus is optimized for Windows Ink and supports both Wacom AES protocol and Microsoft Pen Protocol (MPP).
- For Wacom AES Protocol (Default): The stylus is preset for Wacom AES. Simply touch the pen to a compatible device's screen to begin use.
- For Microsoft Pen Protocol (MPP): If your device uses MPP, press and hold both side buttons on the stylus for two seconds to switch protocols. The LED indicator will change to confirm the switch.
Ensure your Windows 10 device has Bluetooth enabled for full functionality, especially for launching Windows Ink Workspace.
3. Operating the Stylus

- Top Button: Press the top button to instantly launch the Windows Ink Workspace or your preferred pen-enabled applications like Sticky Notes, Sketchpad, or Screen Sketch.
- Side Buttons: The two side buttons can be configured for functions such as right-click, erase, or other shortcuts within compatible applications. Refer to your device's settings for customization options.
3.3 Replaceable Nibs
The Bamboo Ink comes with three different nib types (soft, medium, and firm) to suit your personal writing style and preference.

- To change a nib, gently pull the current nib straight out from the stylus.
- Select your desired nib and carefully insert it straight into the stylus until it clicks into place.
