Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Fotopro X-Go Max tripod.
- Cleaning: After each use, especially in dusty or sandy environments, wipe down the tripod legs and all moving parts with a clean, damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a mild soap solution and rinse thoroughly. Ensure all parts are completely dry before storage.
- Lubrication: Periodically, a small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied to the leg twist locks and center column mechanism to ensure smooth operation. Avoid using oil-based lubricants, which can attract dirt.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect all screws, bolts, and connections for tightness. Tighten any loose components. Check for any signs of wear or damage to the carbon fiber legs or ball head.
- Storage: Store the tripod in a dry, clean environment, preferably in its included carrying bag, to protect it from dust and moisture. Avoid storing in extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting
- Tripod is unstable:
Solution: Ensure all leg sections are fully extended and securely locked. Verify that the leg angle adjustment locks are engaged correctly for all three legs. Check that the quick release plate and camera are firmly mounted on the ball head. Ensure the tripod is placed on a stable, level surface. - Leg locks are stiff or difficult to operate:
Solution: Clean the leg sections and twist locks thoroughly to remove any accumulated dirt or sand. If necessary, apply a small amount of silicone lubricant to the threads of the twist locks. Avoid over-tightening the locks. - Ball head does not hold camera position:
Solution: Ensure the main locking knob on the FPH-62Q ball head is fully tightened. Verify that your camera and lens combination does not exceed the ball head's maximum load capacity. Check for any foreign objects obstructing the ball's movement. - Center column is difficult to adjust:
Solution: Loosen the center column locking knob completely before attempting to adjust the height. Clean the center column and its housing to remove any debris.
