1. Important Safeguards

3. Setup and First Use

Before first use, clean all removable parts according to the 'Cleaning and Maintenance' section. Run two full cycles with water only to clean the internal components.

3.2 Adding Water

Open the top lid of the coffee maker. Fill the glass carafe with the desired amount of fresh, cold water. Pour the water into the water reservoir, ensuring it does not exceed the '12 MAX' mark on the water level indicator.

3.3 Inserting Filter and Coffee Grounds

Place the reusable basket filter into the brew funnel. Add your preferred amount of ground coffee into the filter. For optimal taste, follow recommended coffee-to-water ratios.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Brewing Coffee

  1. Ensure the coffee maker is plugged into a standard electrical outlet.
  2. Confirm water and coffee grounds are loaded as described in the 'Setup' section.
  3. Place the empty glass carafe on the warming plate.
  4. Press the illuminated one-touch ON/OFF switch to begin brewing. The light will indicate the unit is active.
  5. The brewing process will start automatically.

4.2 Keep Warm Function

The coffee maker includes a nonstick warming plate that keeps your brewed coffee hot and flavorful after the brewing cycle is complete. The warming plate will remain active until the unit is manually turned off.

4.3 Auto-Off Safety Function

For safety, the coffee maker is equipped with an auto-off safety function. The unit will automatically shut off after a period of inactivity to prevent overheating and save energy. Always ensure the unit is turned off when not in use.

5. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your coffee maker.

5.1 Daily Cleaning

  1. Always unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet before cleaning.
  2. Remove the reusable filter and brew funnel. Discard used coffee grounds.
  3. Wash the glass carafe, reusable filter, and brew funnel in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly. These parts are not dishwasher safe.
  4. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  5. Do not immerse the coffee maker base in water or any other liquid.

5.2 Descaling (Monthly or as needed)

Mineral deposits from water can build up in your coffee maker and affect its performance. Descale your coffee maker regularly:

  1. Fill the water reservoir with a mixture of 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts water.
  2. Place the empty carafe on the warming plate.
  3. Turn on the coffee maker and let it complete half of a brewing cycle.
  4. Turn off the coffee maker and let it soak for at least 15 minutes.
  5. Turn the coffee maker back on and let it complete the brewing cycle.
  6. Discard the vinegar solution and rinse the carafe.
  7. Run 2-3 full cycles with fresh, cold water to flush out any remaining vinegar taste.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your coffee maker, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
