  • Cleaning: Keep the switch free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.

Troubleshooting

  • No Power: If the Power LED is off, ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the switch and a working power outlet.
  • No Link/Activity: Check that Ethernet cables are securely connected to both the switch and the connected device. Verify the connected device is powered on and functioning correctly.
  • PoE Device Not Powering On: Check the PoE Status LED for the specific port. A blinking LED may indicate that the PoE budget is exceeded or there is a fault with the connected device. Ensure the device is PoE-compatible (802.3af).
  • SFP Port Issues: If SFP ports are not functioning, ensure that compatible SFP modules are correctly inserted and that the fiber optic cables are properly connected and undamaged.
  • Network Performance Issues: If experiencing slow speeds, verify that all connected devices and cables support Gigabit Ethernet. Check for network loops or excessive broadcast traffic.
  • Management Access Issues: Ensure your computer's IP address is in the same subnet as the switch's management IP. Clear your browser's cache or try a different browser.
