Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use of your Sebo ET-1 Powerhead with Wand. Please read these instructions carefully before operating the appliance and retain them for future reference.
1. Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to correctly assemble your Sebo ET-1 Powerhead and connect it to your central vacuum system.
- Connect Powerhead to Wand: Insert the Sebo ET-1 Powerhead onto the lower end of the provided wand. Ensure it clicks securely into place. The electrical connection for the powerhead is integrated into the wand for flush cord management.
- Connect Wand to Central Vacuum Hose: Insert the upper end of the wand into your central vacuum hose handle. Ensure a firm connection. The electrical cord from the wand should align with the hose's electrical connection.
- Adjust Wand Height: The wand is adjustable to optimize user comfort and reach. Press the height adjustment button (if present) and extend or retract the wand to your desired length. Release the button to lock it in position.

2. Operating Instructions
Proper operation ensures efficient cleaning and extends the life of your appliance.
- Power On/Off: Activate the central vacuum system and the powerhead using the controls on your central vacuum hose handle.
- Height Adjustment: The ET-1 features a 4-position height adjustment. Select the appropriate height for your carpet pile or floor type. A warning light indicates if the brush height is set correctly for optimal cleaning performance. Adjust the height until the warning light turns off or indicates the correct setting.
- Floor Types: The powerhead is designed for effective cleaning of carpets and rugs. Its rubber wheels make it safe for use on delicate surfaces such as hardwood floors when the brush roll is disengaged or set to the appropriate height.
- Electronic Belt Protection: The ET-1 is equipped with electronic belt protection. If the roller brush becomes jammed by an obstruction, the powerhead motor will automatically shut off to prevent damage. Clear the obstruction before resuming operation.
- Low Profile Design: The 3 1/4-inch flat-to-the-floor profile allows for easy cleaning under furniture and beds.
3. Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for maintaining optimal performance and longevity of your Sebo ET-1 Powerhead.
- Cleaning the Brush Roll: The roller brush is easily removable for cleaning. To remove, follow the instructions provided in the detailed product manual or on the powerhead itself. Remove any tangled hair, threads, or debris from the bristles.
- Replacing the Roller Brush: The warning light on the powerhead also indicates when the roller brush bristles are worn and require replacement. Refer to the detailed product manual for instructions on how to replace the brush roll. Use only genuine Sebo replacement parts.
4. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Sebo ET-1 Powerhead, consult the following common solutions.
- Powerhead Stops Operating: Check if the electronic belt protection has activated due to a jammed brush roll. Turn off the central vacuum, unplug the powerhead, and carefully remove any obstructions from the brush roll. Restart the unit.
- Warning Light Illuminated: If the warning light is on during operation, it indicates either incorrect brush height adjustment or significant bristle wear. Adjust the brush height to the correct setting. If the light persists and bristles appear worn, consider replacing the roller brush.
- Reduced Cleaning Performance: Ensure the brush roll is clean and free of debris. Verify the brush height is correctly set for the surface being cleaned. Check for any blockages in the central vacuum hose or powerhead.
