5. Setup Instructions

1. Powering On: Insert the BTFM2A into your vehicle's 12V power outlet (cigarette lighter socket). The device's LCD screen will illuminate.
2. FM Frequency Tuning:
   • Tune your car radio to an unused FM frequency (a 'clean' station with no active broadcast).
   • On the BTFM2A, press and hold the PLAY/PAUSE button until the FM frequency digits on the device's screen begin to flash.
   • Use the Track Forward or Track Back buttons (or rotate the dial if applicable) to adjust the BTFM2A's frequency to match the clean station on your car radio.
   • Press the PLAY/PAUSE button again to lock in the frequency.
3. Bluetooth Pairing:
   • On your smartphone, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
   • Select 'BTFM2A' from the list of devices to pair. A confirmation tone or message may indicate successful pairing.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Music Playback

• Once paired, open your preferred music application on your smartphone.
• Music will stream wirelessly through your car's speakers via the selected FM frequency.
• Use the Track Forward/Back buttons on the BTFM2A or the remote control to navigate tracks.
• Adjust volume using the device's dial or your car's stereo controls.

6.2 Hands-Free Calling

• Answering Calls: When a call comes in, press the Call button (phone icon) on the BTFM2A to answer.
• Ending Calls: Press the Call button again to end the conversation.
• Making Calls: Use your smartphone's voice assistant (Siri or Google Voice) for voice-activated dialing. The BTFM2A's microphone will pick up your voice.
• DSP Echo Cancellation: This feature ensures clear communication during calls by minimizing background noise and echo.

6.3 Device Charging

• The BTFM2A includes a 10-Watt 2.1AMP USB-A port.

7. Troubleshooting

• No Power: Ensure the device is fully inserted into the 12V power outlet. Check your vehicle's fuse for the power outlet.
• Static/Poor Audio Quality:
  • Adjust the FM frequency on both the BTFM2A and your car radio to a different, clear station.
  • Ensure your smartphone's volume is turned up.
  • Move the BTFM2A to a different 12V outlet if available, or adjust its position for better signal.
• Bluetooth Disconnection:
  • Ensure the BTFM2A is within range of your smartphone.
  • Unpair and re-pair the device from your smartphone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Restart both the BTFM2A (by unplugging and replugging) and your smartphone.
• Callers Cannot Hear Me Clearly: Ensure the microphone on the BTFM2A is not obstructed. The DSP Echo Cancellation should help maintain clear audio.
