4. Before First Use
- Unpack the waffle maker and remove all packaging materials.
- Wipe the cooking plates with a damp cloth or sponge. Do not immerse the appliance in water.
- For the first use, it is recommended to operate the waffle maker without batter to burn off any manufacturing residues. Plug in the appliance and allow it to heat up for approximately 5-10 minutes. A slight odor or smoke may be present; this is normal and will dissipate.
- Unplug and allow the appliance to cool completely before wiping the plates again.
5. Operating Instructions
- Preparation: Prepare your waffle batter according to your recipe. Ensure the batter is of a consistent, pourable consistency.
- Preheating: Close the waffle maker and plug it into a suitable power outlet. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the appliance is preheating. The waffle maker will automatically reach its optimal cooking temperature.
- Greasing (Optional but Recommended): For best results and to prevent sticking, lightly grease the non-stick cooking plates with a small amount of cooking oil or non-stick spray before adding batter, especially for the first batch.
- Adding Batter: Carefully open the waffle maker. Pour the prepared batter evenly onto the center of each waffle plate. Do not overfill, as the batter will expand during cooking. A good starting point is to fill about two-thirds of the plate area.
- Cooking: Close the lid gently. The indicator light may cycle on and off during cooking as the thermostat maintains the temperature. Cooking time typically ranges from 3-6 minutes, depending on your desired crispness and the batter consistency. Waffles are usually done when steam stops escaping from the sides.
- Removing Waffles: Once cooked, carefully open the lid. Use a heat-resistant plastic or wooden utensil to remove the waffles. Avoid using metal utensils, as they can damage the non-stick coating.
- Subsequent Batches: Close the lid to allow the waffle maker to reheat between batches. Repeat steps 3-6 for additional waffles.
- Finishing: When finished, unplug the appliance from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance
Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your waffle maker.
- Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Cleaning Plates: The non-stick plates are designed for easy cleaning. Wipe them with a damp cloth or sponge. For stubborn residue, a small amount of mild dish soap can be used, followed by wiping with a clean damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or metal utensils, as these will damage the non-stick surface.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
- Storage: Ensure the waffle maker is clean and dry before storing. Store it in a cool, dry place. The compact design allows for easy storage.

7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
