BONECO S200

BONECO S200 Steam Humidifier User Manual

Model: S200

Introduction

The BONECO S200 Steam Humidifier provides hygienic and efficient humidification for your living space. This manual contains important information regarding the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your S200 humidifier to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

The S200 utilizes steam technology, boiling water to eliminate bacteria and minerals before releasing a pleasant, hand-warm mist into the air. It features a simple control knob for two output levels and a dedicated cleaning mode for easy maintenance.

Setup and Initial Operation

Unpacking

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts are present:

Placement

Place the humidifier on a firm, level, and water-resistant surface. Ensure it is not placed directly against a wall or furniture to allow for proper air circulation. Keep it away from heat sources and direct sunlight.

Filling the Water Tank

  1. Remove the water tank from the base unit.
  2. Unscrew the tank cap and fill the tank with clean tap water. Distilled water can be used to minimize mineral buildup, though not strictly required due to the boiling process and cleaning mode.
  3. Securely screw the tank cap back on.
  4. Place the filled water tank back onto the base unit.

    • Level I (Low): Provides a quiet performance suitable for continuous operation and smaller rooms.
    • Level II (High): Delivers maximum humidification output for faster results or larger rooms.
  2. The humidifier will begin to produce steam shortly after being turned on.

Automatic Shut-off

The S200 is equipped with an automatic shut-off feature. When the water tank is empty, the unit will automatically turn off to prevent damage. A helpful reminder light will illuminate to indicate that the water tank needs refilling.

Using the Fragrance Tray

The S200 includes a fragrance tray for use with essential oils to enhance your room's atmosphere.

  1. Locate the small fragrance tray on the top of the unit, near the steam outlet.
  2. Add a few drops of your preferred essential oil directly into the tray. Do not add essential oils directly into the water tank.
  3. The aroma will be diffused with the steam into the room.

The cleaning mode simplifies the removal of mineral deposits from the heating element.

  1. Ensure the unit is unplugged and cool.
  2. Remove the water tank.
  3. Fill the base with water up to the indicated level.
  4. Add a de-calcifying agent (such as BONECO EZCal or EZCal PRO, or a descaling solution suitable for humidifiers) to the water in the base according to the agent's instructions.
  5. Place the water tank back on the unit.
  6. Turn the control knob to the "Cleaning Mode" setting (indicated by a brush icon).
  7. Allow the unit to run in cleaning mode for the recommended duration (refer to the de-calcifying agent's instructions or the humidifier's quick setup guide for specific times).
  8. Once the cleaning cycle is complete, unplug the unit.
  9. Carefully empty the water from the base and rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove any residue.
  10. Wipe the base and heating element clean with a soft cloth or brush.
